This was a battle. Leeton undefeated #5 in Class 1 vs Clever #3 in Class 3. Leeton was up by 7 with 5 minutes to play but Clever pulled it out with some big shots and making an unheard of 16 of 16 from the line in the fourth quarter.

Final was 62-50, maybe the most misleading score ever since the game was close till the last minute or so and Clever was behind for much of it.

Skyline destroyed Climax Springs so Clever faces Skyline in the final Friday night.

Climax Springs lost to Wheatland 74-50 the first time they played but they pressed that game and for some reason they did not press much in the second matchup won by Climax Springs. Plus Wheatland just didn't show up that game, I'm told. Climax really struggled against Skyline's pressure and the result was a 73-24 loss, Skyline's most lopsided win of the season.

Weaubleau gave Skyline a battle in the first game of this tournament but lost 59-50. And then Wheatland beat Weaubleau.

Some things just don't make a lot of sense in girls high school basketball...

I don't think so, Class 2 is pretty loaded this year. I'd argue that Class 2 is just as tough if not tougher than Class 3, at least in SW Missouri this season.

The only really good Class 2 team they have played is Miller. They beat them twice, by only 2 the second time.

Walnut Grove can beat the good Class 2 teams, but that’s only one Class 1 team and it’s one of the top 2 or 3 Class 1 teams in the state. Class 2 has way more good teams overall than Class 1 does

Strafford beat Blue Eye by 8 and Skyline by 25.

Class 2 Miller did beat a previously unbeaten Class 3 El Dorado Springs team by 6.

Clever plays Skyline twice, and then Hartville, Blue Eye and Sparta, so we’ll see what happens there.

Agree with all of that. Even Strafford is vulnerable to losing to one of those teams on a given night.

Throw in Newburg if you want too. Last year they were class 1 but this year went back to class 2. They just beat Richland last night 52-47.

Yep. I think they would of won Class 2 last year. I think they will win Class 1 this year and next. I see Adrian is really good in Class 2 as well. I swear it seems the Shipley girl has been Playing in high school for 6 years.
