I was listening to the game on PrepCasts.com and they said Skylar was a ball boy on the sidelines during the 2009 Fort Osage trip to the dome.
True. He has been there at all 3 Championship appearances although this was his first time playing. He was a Freshman and didn't play during their loss to Kirkwood in 2012...
Even after the game was out of reach, my crew and I stayed just to see the "Skylar" show. Just got back to Webb about an hour ago but the continuous live highlight reel was worth it.
I remember him playing in the playoff loss to Kearney 2 yrs ago as a sophomore and was very impressed with how calm he was even when pressured. He is a beast. Loved watching him at Fort. He definitely showed off his wheels last night. Something that a lot of Fort fans were spoiled with. Hope he succeeds in the Little Apple.
I haven't seen a better HS QB than Thompson. The fact that Mizzou didn't offer him(not sure he would have accepted anyway but that's beside the point) really makes me question some things/people in that program. And that is coming from one of the biggest Mizzou fans you'll find anywhere.
