Obviously talent alone isn't enough. Talented players need to be given the
right roles and responsibilities, proper direction, and a sense of
urgency. Most of all, they need to buy into the coach's goals. Interesting that K-State and Mizzou over-achieve.

Stars do matter just look at the last 4 National Champions. They may not mater if you're talking about winning a bowl game or playing for and losing a conference championship or things like that. But stars do matter in winning National Championships.
