Metro....are you coming to any games? If Sikeston and Helias play in the finals, it should be a pretty good game. Both are state ranked...

Helias can not defeat Sikeston. Cape Notre Dame defeated Helias OT 49-47 and Sikeston clocked Notre Dame. It's difficult to make a judgement by comparing scores but my friends tell me Helias can not compete with the top three ranked teams in class 4. ( Vashon. St. Mary's and Sikeston ) My prediction in a Sikeston-Helias game on a neutral floor. ( Sikeston by 19 points ) Sikeston's toughest game @ Zumwalt North most likely will be class 5, the Troy Trojans.

Rocket, Believe me when I say, Sikeston is top three team in class 4. If the Bulldogs don't have a let down, they will be in a class 4 quarter-final game with either Vashon or St. Mary's. Both are battle tested for big games.

My schedule is full for the week.

Wednesday--1-25-17------Webster @ Ritenour
Friday----------1-27-17-----Webster @ SLUH

Wow Sikeston, no pressure! I haven't seen Helias this year but they sure were stout last year, beating Sikeston in the 3rd place game.

Well, thanks for the love metro. I'm not sure it will be a cakewalk, but I like Sikeston's chances if they both get to the finals. Helias is a good team so I know the Dogs aren't overlooking them. Besides, I think the Dogs are looking to exact a little revenge from last year's loss at Como.

I saw on another post you had about top teams in St. Louis...I believe you had Ritenour ranked. As a side note to that...Sikeston beat Ritenour last year in the finals of the Ft Zum North tourney. They were a good team last year and look to be good this year.

Rocket, We will see how good Ritenour is on Wed. evening when Webster and C. Gordon plays Ritenour @ Ritenour. All eyes will be on the " Man in the Middle ".

MFloyd and Rocket. When teams like Sikeston and Helias competes in a third place game in the state tournament. This a" Motivation Game " , the players are usually down and coaches must use special precaution in preparing their team to compete in a third place game. Some teams play better then others in " Motivational Games ". I can only imagine how the Sikeston Bulldogs felt after the Vashon game. I'm sure there were lots chins on the floor for both Sikeston and Helias.

Sometimes the better team does not win in a motivation game. Helias is not as good as advertised.

Metro...I tend to agree with you about Sikeston's state of mind, but I don't want to take anything away from Helias. They are a good team and they beat the Dogs fair and square.

Hopefully, if this matchup materializes the Dogs will come out on top.

Rocket, Sikeston has more talent then the Troy Trojans but do not under estimate their capabilities. The Trojans were defeated by SLUH in the winners bracket and Jennings in the consolation bracket @ Meramec. Troy plays a better schedule then most of the teams @ Zumwalt North. If Fred plays, Sikeston by10 plus. If Fred does not play--Troy by 3 points.

I may be a little high on Fred Thatch but he is capable of big things in a basketball game.

Sikeston won 58-28 and gave up two points in the 4th quarter. I didn't expect that lopsided of a game. Troy's big gun had the flu. I think that was a factor in the overall score, but I don't think it would have changed the outdone. If he were 100% it would have been a little closer.

Sorry, I just noticed that you posted the Dogs' score on another thread.
