SIAP: Eric Thomas leaving Lee's Summit to take Jeff City job....

From a wonderful turnaround first season at south, to a major step backwards. Hoping season 3 really starts showing some of how Wilmes is building the program.
I'd say 2024 definitely will. As so many have pointed out C6 in this Metro is quite the unforgiving gauntlet. Numbers far better this fall.............

Very early but I see KC Class 6 perhaps not being quite as strong at the top but MUCH deeper. Defending champ Liberty North returns a very promising QB among others (program is so well stocked) and Lee's Summit North will return several top players among them the HC's kid. Liberty, Lee's Summit West, Oak Park (Pankey is back next fall all things also remaining equal), Blue Springs South will all be strong and I will also have what seems like annual interest in Staley and Park Hill.

They also started a ton of Sophomore this year for multiple reasons, so not surprising they took a step back. Likely will be back in the upper half of C6 in KC

If you're gonna win one in a down year beat your biggest rival (Blue Springs). Only was really one bad loss at Rockhurst whose season ender was in an all time classic the de-facto C6 title game vs. LN. Will see how everything goes but I'd suspect this will be one potent offense in 2024.

I did not realize they played so many sophomores. If so, they are primed for a major step forward. Because like Top pointed out, South only had one bad loss. Hopefully good things are ahead for South

Through the grapevine I've heard he is obviously interested but that LS may be looking at a couple others before they get to him.

Liberty Blue Jays will be a team to watch. Over their starters were sophomores. They are only losing like 2 starters off each side of the ball. The line will be one the best in the metro.
