Think I'm headed to Cammy to watch the Lakers and Jackets. Should be a dandy. Tense atmosphere (not much love lost in those two communities) and should be some quality football.
Round 1 of 2? This one for the OC outright then rematch for all the marbles November 11..........

If Macon is for real this year. (Worthy of top 6ish ranking in class 2) then they need to beat Monroe. Monroe could be worthy of being ranked in class 2. Should be a good game.

I say this because class 2 is loaded this year. Just crazy almost everyone is on one side of the bracket.

Imagine being the scoreboard operator at a Higginsville vs. Bowling Green quarter............

You wouldn’t be able to blink. Lol both teams score quick. I do think LC D is better this year than last. BUT is BG better than last year? That’s a VERY intriguing game.

Pleasant Hill vs. Center is the most intriguing one to me. I don't know much about Center, but they have to be FAST if they are putting up those point totals. Has anyone watched them in comparison to Kearney or Smithville? Pleasant Hill might be able to utilize this game which I think they will lose to propel them into much weaker Class 3 playoff competition in a few weeks.

I think that's the way it'll play out. I honestly can't see anyone getting in the way of either, sorta like the Webb/Carthage thing. Granted, I think the Lakers and Jackets are a little closer in competition level than Carthage and Webb.

Who's the QB at PHill?

Going to the Camdenton/Lebanon game. I'd love to see Camdenton pull this one out, but the way Lebanon shut out Glendale (a similar offensive) gives me pause. It's gonna be a great game and we should see some really good football no matter who wins.

I've taken looks at all of these schools. Center has an outstanding RB and a very diverse offense BUT no they've not seen physical, big lines like Smithville and Kearney. Their team speed would be more difficult for the Warriors in a potential quarterfinal, frankly.

I pay lots less attention to C3 but like what I see from Pleasant Hill. The one hitch in their armor so far was a close one vs. Cass County rival Harrisonville but could have been the rivalry factor. The issue for both is something neither can help: the MRVC West is down from recent years as Warrensburg lost everyone from last year, Clinton is firing back up after missing a year, Oak Grove is just plain talent short and Odessa is way down from recent Championship level years.

Higginsville has amazing size and athleticism at the C2 level. IF IF IF that one happens the winner very likely faces mighty Blair Oaks. You are right this side of the bracket is crazy good this year............

Your side I'd be shocked if a Seneca-Lamar redux doesn't happen.

BO about has to have weather effect them for them to just be “in trouble” otherwise anyone has to play a pretty flawless game to beat them. They are great. Not sure I’d say unbeatable, but very good.

I feel Lamar Is chomping at the bit to rematch. They all feel they let that one get away. (They did) And Seneca wants to beat them again. I can’t wait for that. (If it happens) I do know the SCA is hard to count out. But Seneca’s offense is pretty peppery though. Not sure LMV or MG can handle that potent O.

No disrespect ever intended but agree from the little I've seen.

I stated back at the Higg-Richmond game the Huskers are really built for cold weather. That is a punishing rushing offense they run it could make any cold weather game very very interesting.

I’d love for a LC/Lamar rematch, it’s kinda a state rivalry. It’s happened a few times before. I talked it up for about an hour last time. They were very friendly and open to conversation. I enjoyed it.

Both teams love to get rough in the trenches and hit somebody and run.

Lamar always has outstanding SIZE, too. Even though the result was not what you all wanted I was at the Lathrop game in 2018 could not believe your O Line in particular.

Lathrop was soooooo fast that year. I thought we had speed. That was insane.

HC Holt did an outstanding job there. That was building the prior two seasons. Unfortunately they ran into maybe (big mouthful) Blair's best team in the title game.
Uh yeah. I was kinda relived I didn’t have to travel for a beatdown. We wouldn’t have won that game either. Nobody would’ve.

It was a good game, and I was impressed with the atmosphere as well

I have been tracking most of the Class 2 big dogs this year for my scoreboard tracker that I maintain every week as well as several other classes and what I have seen through the webcasts and constant twitter reports that I have had to watch is

Bowling Green is for real. I would be tracking some reports on some of the other games on my list and the Bowling Green tracker would be just shooting up like a rocket on the scoring every week.

Higginsville and Richmond are very good but I can't fully say they are as good as Bowling Green and Blair Oaks. The webcasts that I have seen shown that Higginsville can be slowed down and Richmond doesn't over power their opponents but they play a clean sound ball control game.

Monroe City is outstanding but I would like to see them get truly challenged and so far they have easily met any challenge before them. In Class 1 they will go far.

Russellville, a new football program in Class 1 is unbeaten so far this year but they are not 100% blowing out their opponents every week and their schedule has not included any of the big dogs as of yet. With that being said I don't think that would go well when they play a team like Monroe City who is very experienced and has faced upper Class teams and still continued to easily dominate.

Lamar and Seneca put on a show earlier in the season and I monitored it constantly that night. From seeing how the both teams did in other weeks I would have to put them right now right up with Richmond and Higginsville. They are great but they in my eyes have not seperated them from them as possible Class 2 state finalists.

Maryville and Lutheran North put on a show this past week. You can truly see how Lutheran North has improved since they faced BO earlier this year. Both teams will do well in Class 3 but to consider them a true finalist to win Class 3 they would need to continue to improve and that seems a rough road ahead.

CMAC teams all seem like none of them would be considered a dark horse in Class 4 or 5. They are constantly beating each other up and when a stronger team comes in to face them they are easily overmatched as when we saw Cardinal Ritter easily handle Helias.

Blair Oaks seems to be the real deal. Many question marks to start the season with a young defense but those were easily put to rest early. Their early heavy schedule seemed watered down at first with many thinking that Maryville wasn't as good as thought and same with Lutheran North, those wins now look alot more impressive. With their schedule moving forward I don't see many obstacles in their way going all the way to Thanksgiving weekend when we would see one of the other top dogs in Class 2 face BO with the winner going to the Show Me Bowl.

Valle Catholic has continued to impress me as with their win over Seckman and with how well Seckman is doing as well as their gut performance against Park Hills they could surprise in playoff time. Even better for Valle this year without the St. Louis heavy hitters are not in their district which completely opens the door for Valle to possibly cruise through districts before a highly anticipated rematch with Park Hills Central. Right after districts brings in the big hitters out of St. Louis with Cardinal Ritter. With this year's setup. Lutheran North would not see Cardinal Ritter until possibly the Show Me Bowl.
