Should Jeff Fisher and that hippy GM be fired?

That GM looks stoned every time I see him interviewed. He and Fisher have collectively not taken this team to the next level. Does Cranky care enough to cut them loose?

I don't think he should. They have drafted really well and are building a basis for a really good team. They need a QB.

I would not say they have drafted well. Nice picks on defense, but it is not good enough to overcome terrible picks on offense. Nobody will be fired because this is exactly what Kroenke wants. With a name like yours I am surprised you would say this. The Rams have the worst O-line in the league.

They also need guards. Reynolds is a back up tackle, the other dude is an 8th OL type or maybe even practice squad. Barnes is an average NFL center.. Robinson is a RT but with the Rams offense, he's a functional LT.. They have drafted good talent at a good spot. If they will go and get a dominant Guard.. And then Foles gets a full offseason.. I think he could be good. Losing Jamon Brown hurt the OL bad, as well as losing Roger Saffold. That's two starting OL that they could use desperately. Gurley was a good pick I think, although, it wasn't the direction I would have went. The defense could be extremely good if the DE's weren't hurt although depth there is good, but Gaines and Ogletree are also done, and they a big parts of the D.

What haven't you liked about the drafting? I haven't followed them real close this year since the draft so I'm probably not seeing something you are..

Stick with him. Owner's being stoned at games is cool IMO. Particulary if you're a rams fan.

I've only had one problem with the Rams draft and that was taking Robinson. He was a waste of a pick. 3 holding penalties last week and looks like he is moving in sand all the time. Very overrated.

The talent they have on defense is one of the best in the leagues. Offense has a lot of talent as well but don't know how to use it. Gurley is a once in a generation RB; he's shown that already. Austin is a good enough WR to get more than 3-4 touches a game. You can't teach speed. If Welker can stay healthy, he's a huge pickup. But they have rarely used him which to me shows he may not be healthy.

What they need? A veteran that can lead the offense at QB (call me crazy but I think Matt Stafford or Mark Sanchez would be good pickups). Or even a veteran WR (DeSean Jackson, Anquan Boldin) that they can run the offense through. Gurley can only do so much.

GM needs to shake it up and make a big time trade. Will he? I highly doubt it. But something needs to happen.

Robinson Terrible and getting worst
Austin Gimmick player
Pead 2nd round flop
Stacy gone
Quick
Bailey
Richardson
Mason
Counting on Safford was another huge mistake. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know he was going to get hurt, after Oakland sent him back to us after a failed physical
There are more I just can't think of them right now
The same can be said for their free agent pick ups. Failure in this area is why the offensive line is such a mess. Long, Cook, Last years center
Fischer, Snead and Kroenke all share in the blame and if you really believe that this team is headed in the right direction then I would say you haven't been paying attention. No offensive line, no QB, no receivers doesn't warm my heart. Another example of their failures will come to light when their good picks on defense enter their free agent years, How will Snead deal with the cap. My guess is very poorly. His biggest trade was for Foles and I would call that a failed trade.

Looked to me like a no-call on pass interference probably cost them the game to day. A catch or the flag either one would have given them a 1st down with a lead and time running down. The defender had a hold of the receiver's arm and jersey and was NOT playing the ball at all. The ball was not only in the air, it had to be no more than 5 or 10 yards away with NO flag thrown.

2 things.......

1. The center is really good!

2. Tavon not used correctly most weeks.
Wrong on both counts. Center is ok and barely won the job this summer and the Rams moved up to take Austin at #8 how would you use the guy? There is no happy ending to this offense. The Fischer/Snead regime has had 4 years to put this offense together and it is the worst or 2nd worst offense in most statistical categories.

VB you are showing some serious football knowledge here. I can't argue with a word you have said.

Don't like talking about things I know very little about(football) but I know a terrible offense when I see one and I know 4 years is more than enough time to (fix it) as Coach Fischer would say.

I am giving the Missouri kid props... I would take his work ethic anyday to build a line with! You can not tell me that Austin is not as talented as Jeremy Maclin. Just does not see the touches enough. You put him in slot with Patriots.... he is all pro every year. It all starts with a great QB! They have not had 1!~

Ok if you say so!! Work ethic is very helpful in the Pro's but talent wins the day. If you really think that Austin is all pro within the right structure then there is nothing else to discuss. People should be able to see that the terrible Rams QB is always missing the wide open Austin. That is never the case, anytime the ball is thrown to him there is seldom any seperation
