What was going thru their minds? Why is he even on the roster? He usually only pitches to one left-handed batter
and still has a 4.5 ERA. What does that tell you MIKE?

Agree. If they don't come back and win this series they will have this decision to lay the blame on. Mind boggling

If you can explain this away...give me any logical thought path that lead to his decisions yesterday...I'll trade in my baby blue #28 that I've got on today for a #22. Then I'll take a selfie in it and use it as my sig line on here.

Lol. I don't think there's much danger of that. Tommy Herr is safe..

I agree about Lackey. He was mowing them down.

I don't know if they were planning on Choate for more than one batter or not. But his only excuse after the walk was expecting a bunt. Perez screwed that up. Then they expected another bunt. We saw how that ended up. But the real problem was going with Choate against Crawford in the first place because of what you pointed out. Not only was his splits backwards but if I remember right they said he had had good success against Choate and drawn several walks. Right on queue Choate commits the biggest extra inning sin a pitcher can.

CMart would have made more sense all the way around. If he gets thru the 10th his spot is due up 6th. If they get that far the Cards have probably scored and they'd be going to Rosey anyway. If they don't get to his spot he's still in for the 11th. Would they have left Choate in for 2 innings or were they going to burn 2 pitchers in 2 innings again? Who knows! But it wasn't one of MMs finer games.

I just hope the youngsters aren't too dejected after fighting back and have something left for today. To be honest I'm not sure I want to play KC anyway. They're out of their minds and I'd hate to lost to them again. Although it would be fun to put an end to it!
