I see the MU faithful are not taking the Auburn suggestion too well with the idea of realignment. I doubt it happens anytime soon, but it would make more sense for MU to be in the West.

I think the SEC will realign north\south after they pick up a NC school and a Virginia school.

Though, Mizzou going to the west would help recruiting Texas..

Geographically that's true...but Geographically speaking it would make sense for you to be a Mizzou fan rather than Free Shoes University...no? ;-)

Lets say for a second that Finebaum is right, the Big 12 folds, and the SEC wins the battle for OU (or loses and takes them, if that makes you more happy, lets just assume they go).. Do they make Oklahoma legislature happy and also take the OSU? Do they take another Big 12 school (assuming Texas goes Ind)... Or, do they look somewhere out east?

I was under the impression it was a no-go politically in Oklahoma to have OU and OSU to be in different conferences.

That is the general thinking but there is no law that states they have to be together...They are not even in the same "system". They have not always been together.. Actually twice Oklahoma has left a conference they shared with the Pokes only to have OSU come a join later... The first time they were separated 5 years and the next time 30 years
It is obvious they would like to stay together..(one of the reasons OU isnt already in the SEC) But you have to wonder if it means being left out in the cold or going to a much lesser league if Boren won't leave them behind.
