The portal and NIL is creating parity to an extent. The BBs will always have more money and resources but the middle of the pack programs are the beneficiary in todays . Drink can recruit and hes getting the in state kids HCGP couldnt. The former just needed some more time as the latter did to get the program going in the right direction.

Not sure i agree about Gary Pinkel comment. Last 2 years I would agree and that bled over to Odom. I would also say when Big 12 was at its peak it was harder to persuade kids to stay home too. He got his fair share though.

Three in state 5" in b2b classes is something only achieved under Drink. Burden,Nwaneri and Wingo are massive commits. McClellan is only a 4* but some have said he's better than Wingo. If he flips from OSU then Miz will have one the best WR groups in the country next year.

I'd take Pinkel's coach 'em up gems with his in game coaching vs Drink's flashy recruits with his in game coaching anyday. He STILL doesn't have a QB he recruited he trusts. Someone has to get that talent the ball. I'm not sold on him working out. Even if they win 9 games this year, next year's schedule is B R U T A L, and then we're right back where we were last year at best.

No, he's a redshirt freshman. One who apparently has had trouble comprehending the playbook. Drink has brought in portal guys the past two seasons to back up Odom's guy, so there's some smoke there.

He's thrown < 10 passes in a actual game combined over these past two seasons. Drink said this year there would be on the field evaluation of the QB's, yet it appears he only trusts Cook, even against the cupcakes. Point is, we don't know what we have in Horn and face the possibility of never knowing if he bolts to MLB after this year.
