Saw this proposed somewhere that the Big 12 just merging with the SEC or Pac-12 would do a lot more for the overall security of the Big 12 than expanding would.

Best idea ive seen is invite enough teams to get to 32 then have relegation and promotion between 2 16 team leagues

I know the OP was blue font, but the only schools from the Big12 that the SEC might seriously be interested in would be OU & Texas. That said, I hear their focus is expanding into NC & VA (UNC & UVA preferred but they would also listen to NC State & Va Tech).

UNC and Va Tech make more sense actually being in the Southeast than Texas and Oklahoma.
