Its almost incomprehensible that someone this stupid is the president.

It started 2 years ago.
Then try and following this stable genius without having your head explode.

OMG, and Obama believed that he had been to all 57 states with one to go. and remember when he believed 10,000 people were killed in a tornado in Kansas, He was only off by 9,988 as the twister killed 12 people.

You act like Trump is the only one to make errors when doing an interview.

You had to dig hard to find two gaffes. We can point out 10,000+ lies since he took office. That is on top of being an immature disgusting human being.

Would you say this about your daughter?
This is the guy you keep defending.

No actually I just posted a couple that I could remember. You google Obama's gaffs and there is a ton of them. But you don't care about the truth! Obama called himself a Dem, so if he told you dog crap could cure cancer you would eat it. The difference is the press loved Obama and some of the things he did the Liberal press ignored versus what they do to Trump. Obama got caught caught with a hot mic telling Russia that after the election he could give Russia some freedom to do what they wanted, The press basically ignored it ignored that!! You ignored it!! If that was Trump you would be climbing the wall. That is why it is hard for me to take anything you say seriously. You don't hold the same standard to both parties. If you had fried Obama for that, I would not have such a hard time with you screaming the Russians did it today. But we all know it is party lines with you not the Russians.

I know what Trump is, I actually can talk to my kids about Trump because they under stand what he is. He was elected because everyday people are feed up with political lies that the professional politicians tell to get elected. Trump for the most part is the same person that he campaigned to be. Sure he held off tariffs for $750,000 of fireworks. Obama campaign to kill NAFTA and offer a Public option, Once in office the lobbyist money spoke and he just lied. People are frustrated with that, I voted for Obama that lying piece of crap. He fooled me once but not twice!! Trump campaigned on NAFTA and China, There is a bill to improve NAFTA and guess what the DEMS are holding it up again. It does not go far enough they say...what the hell When they had full control of the White House the senate and the house they did nothing. Obama said I looked at NAFTA and we are good because big business told me it is good. Insurance companies came and told Obama and the Dems what bill to pass for health care so what did we get MANDATORY insurance for everybody!! Yep the Insurance companies said what is best is to force everybody buy insurance and to more expensive plans and the Dems passed it. I saw what the Dems did while in control and it scared me! Big Business told them what to do and they did it. Jeff Bezo is basically challenging congress to increase the minimum wage, why because he know those mom and pop stores that are barely hanging on in the old downtown's cannot afford to pay $15 an hour to a kid who comes in just a few hours a week to help out. Once those stores are out of business those small towns across america of 1,000-5,000 people that counted on those stores will now have to count on Amazon for everything. See it is people like you that don't see that!! The Dems are big corp America. While I don't like everything the Pubs do I want to protect the small towns, and that way of life I want to protect those mom and pop stores, You have to see the big picture. Not just the big towns and corporation that the Dems see.

You are the biggest hypocrite I have ever seen. You sit there and tell me and actually believe your party when the say yes we had a deal on immigration but because Trump "said" he would not sign it we decided not to pass it. PLEASE!!!, give me a break, I googled House passes an immigration reform bill and there is nothing about something like major immigration reform being brought up for a vote. Lost of talks about Dems wanting to pass a bill to defund the border patrol.

You really dont know $#+!. I have been an obama critic. He is/was a moderate without the balls to get a public option and make actual progress in health care. I hate corporate dems. No one on this board blasted Hillary and her hypocrisy more than me. I pointed out her flaws from day one. Unlike your kissing of Trump's arse nonstop when you know he isnt worthy of the office, but you are so tribal you cant stop drinking the kool aid.

Actually if you remember I was a Bernie fan....I voted independent in the election. I was on the fence about Trump. Alot of what I predicted came true, I think the man is just a bit narcissistic, but in spite of that he has been hard on Mexico, he has been hard on China and job growth and wages under him have been good in spite of him spitting into the wind and doing more harm to his presidency than good.

Right now I would vote for Trump if the Dems continue to support giving free insurance to illegal immigrants and our current immigration policy, When I saw them all raise their hands in support of that it pretty much closed the door on them, their policies have gone so far to the left that right now I cannot support them. And Biden is just another Clinton big Corp Dem who I could never vote for, he would give the Country away to China and Mexico. He has no clue.

I will not vote for Biden. He is worse than Hillary. I am a man without a party at this point. I will not vote for an establishment dem, nor any current repub. I voted Sanders in the primary and the general.

Right now, I dont have a perfect candidate, but if I had to choose the closest to what I believe is right, I would pick Eliz Warren.
Taxing extreme wealth (over $50 mil) at 2% makes more sense, is more just and more harmless than raising income taxes.

So if I own $100 million in real estate I will have to pay $2 million dollars cash in wealth tax even if I operate at a loss for the year??

That makes no sense at all

So if I own $100 million in real estate I will have to pay $2 million dollars cash in wealth tax even if I operate at a loss for the year??

is that property tax or wealth tax? Serious Question, if you own anything now do you pay taxes besides property tax? But I will never be lucky enough to own $100 million in real estate. And my question to you is, if you owned that much in Real estate and you had to pay $2 million in wealth Taxes would you care? I don't know if I would but I sure would like to find out.

The funny thing is if you ask actual millionaires if they support it most do, polls show that a majority would support it! So those that actually have a 100 million in real estate are saying tax me. The ones throwing the biggest fit are all of the hypothetical rich people like you who don't want to be taxed if they owned that much, really??? Let's just face facts we don't own that much, and probable never will and if we did, we would probable be like the rest of the rich dudes saying who cares, tax me! Because in one sitting I can crap more money than you will ever make in your life time!! So if they don't care about getting taxed... then why in the hell are you fighting a battle that they don't care about?

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/12/mos...x-on-wealth-above-50-million-cnbc-survey.html

Fully 60% of millionaires support Warren’s plan for taxing the wealth of those who have more than $50 million in assets, according to the CNBC Millionaire survey. The wealth tax is different from an income tax, since it taxes a family’s total holdings every year rather than their income.

Polls show that a majority of Americans also back a wealth tax. But the support from millionaires, some of whom would presumably pay the tax, shows that some millionaires are willing to accept higher taxes amidst growing concern over inequality and soaring fortunes of the rich.

While 88% of Democrats support the wealth tax, 62% of independents support it along with 36% of Republicans. Even the upper tier of millionaires, those worth more than $5 million, support a wealth tax, with two-thirds in favor.

If you have net worth over $100 million dollars, you are not going to have 100% in real estate.

Let's see, wealth tax........are stocks, bonds, bank accounts, businesses, wealth? Who ever said only real estate would be taxed?

Again guys look those who have that money don't mind the tax so why are you fighting it? If you put all of us posters wealth together we would not have that much money?

They don't mind... Trust me this is an issue that really they don't care about. When you have 100 million you make more in a year than that tax. It will never affect you or Miller or anybody posting on this board.

Taxation is theft. They have earned that money for numerous reasons, some were smarter, worked harder or longer, probably got some breaks along the way, but ultimately it is money they earned.

Penalizing success (via taxation) to give away money to those who didn't or don't work as hard isn't the American way, it isn't the American dream.

How much do those ultra-wealthy people already give away in charity? Why should the government get to decide how to spend the ultra-wealthy's money?

Point being, the ultrawealthy ALREADY give far more than every other American combined. Taxing them specifically is nothing more than liberal spite. The 2019 Democratic party is the party of socialism, and socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.

So the govt takes 2% a year for 50 years then it’s all gone

No dude. If you are worth 50 million, you pay zero. If you are worth $100 million, you pay 2 million. You can make more than that are on a CD at my local bank.

Its a pretty simple concept to understand, isnt it. Things have gotten absurdly skewed in this country toward the super wealthy. This is a corrective measure to benefit our country without really punishing anyone. People who are just rich, wont pay squat. Only the super duper crazy rich will pay.

Penalize success because it's not "fair".

You must be on board with that music festival in Detroit that charged white patrons $20 to enter and people of color only $10. You're so "woke"...

Household wealth — the value of homes, stock portfolios and bank accounts, minus mortgage and credit card debt and other loans — jumped 80% in the past decade. More than one-third of that gain — $16.2 trillion in riches— went to the wealthiest 1%, figures from the Federal Reserve show. Just 25% of it went to middle-to-upper-middle class households. The bottom half of the population gained less than 2%.

Nearly 8 million Americans lost homes in the recession and its aftermath, and the sharp price gains since then have put ownership out of reach for many would-be buyers. For America’s middle class, the homeownership rate fell to about 60% in 2016 from roughly 70% in 2004, before the housing bubble, according to separate Feddata.

And the sharpest increases occurred in richer cities, like San Francisco, where prices have more than doubled in the past decade, or Phoenix, where they’ve surged 80%. By contrast, in lower-cost Charlotte, home prices have risen by only about a third. In Cleveland, by less than one-fifth.

Overall, in fact, middle-income households on average now have less home equity than they did before the recession, Fed data show

Yawn.

Life isn't fair. Trying to get equality of outcome is a losing battle.

We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both.

What you aren't factoring in is, this is how liberals work. They offer something reasonable to get you on board then they expand it. Is 2% their goal? What was the first income tax rate and who paid it?
Liberals aren't satisfied until they have it all and you have no choice.

And I agree, When it is other peoples money you pass something reasonable and then you find ways to spend it and more and they you come back for more. No I understand that. You know I was listening to some people on the highway tax and they said that has not kept up with inflation? Which I don't understand, so inflation on affects the money spent, and not coming in?

I reckon they are saying the gas tax passed back in the day is not enough now to pay for the same thing it would have paid for when it was passed. They had 15 year plan to lots of stuff then after about 5 years they said the money coming in would not do anymore of that plan. That pretty much soured me on any new gas tax. My issue with the last request for a gas tax increase was that it was NOT just going to go for roads and bridges, not even a majority of it was. They said only 30% of it would go to roads and bridges the rest was for the Highway Patrol and I don't even remember what else. How they thought that had ANY chance of passing I have no idea.

Sometimes when you are spending other people's money you just don't do it wisely and when the public sees that....well things won't go good. I know we need taxes and such. But when I hear those in Congress say that they cannot live on $174,000 a year I want to just slap them up on the side of the head and go welcome to my world try living on alot less and you taxing the crap out of me. I understand they want to pay their help more and they probable need to do that, but they can do that without giving themselves a raise. And it is so funny that AOC who just last year was tending bar and railing against tax give aways is leading the charge.

I actually want Congress to get raises like everyone else does. I also want then to be removed when they fail to be wise or judicious. I don't want the people of Congress that I support leaving because the money is better elsewhere.
I can also say that the real money they make isn't from salary. Nancy isn't rich because of her congressional salary. THAT is what needs controlled not the salaries.
