Yea they just shut down all athletics till Sept 8th and pushed school back also to the 8th. First 2 games will be cancelled.
Helias will be looking for a week one game and Jeff City week two. It didnt say why they are shutting down.

Hannibal schools delay opening to Sept. 8
HANNIBAL ❘ The Hannibal Board of Education voted Monday to delay the start of school until Sept. 8.
I was in Hannibal a month ago. They had a band playing downtown. Not a lot of social distancing or facemask wearing.
Please send me a link. We are talking about the last month, you know that right? And did they die from covid or people who have died who also had covid.

First. It says no where on there it was any from this past month. Two. It says no where on there that these people died BECAUSE of Covid, just that people who have died who also had covid. Two VERY big different things. My brother who had it with hardly any symptoms, still quarantined, could have been in a car wreck during that time and would have been listed on the same list as those 9.
Coach Hamner is a great guy and coach. He's going to bring a championship to Hannibal In the near future depending the outcome how class 4 looks. He has a tough first home game against Ft Zumwalt West on Sept 11th

It sounds high, but actually it's a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of only 2.2%, which is less than our national CFR as quoted by President Trump during a COVID briefing 2 weeks ago of 3.1%.

Say what you want about the numbers and how accurate they are. The medical professionals in Hannibal are taking much more serious. My parents go to their doctors in Hannibal. 2 months ago they went in there and the nurse said you can take your masks off and we aren't worried about it.
Last week they went and the doctor said, 'you don't have a power of attorney, you better get one,' and sent one home with them. He told them 5 people had died from Corona and they were seeing a lot more patients with symptoms. They were much more serious about it.

You asked Treadmill where his data came from and I posted it. You either believe it or don't and may interpret it any way you want and frankly, I choose to ignore any covid number interpretations here because of the clear reasons you stated. However, this is a football forum. If you are trying to convince the Supt from Hannibal to change her mind it ain't going to happen from Mosports.
Love how people just fall all over themselves to cover up, explain away, flat out refuse to discuss the specifics and resort to being as vague as possible any time an adult coach earning a public paycheck is involved in an arrest or suspension.

This link showed the 1st death in Marion County occurred on July 23rd. Again, this is a football board.

This guy sounds like he has some real troubles! Kicking in doors!? Domestic violence??? Coach Nickerson made a real bone headed decision in the '83 Ampipe-Walnut Heights but he never anything like that!!
