Paying 30 trillion dollars for Bernie's care with scrawls and unicorns. Bernie is a lunatic. There's no real price tag and no plan. Who cares, basically on a 60-minute interview. Plus he's lying through his teeth on TV.
Bernie wants us to believe that the Denmark system can be instituted in the USA.
Denmark 45% taxes on 60K per year. You can buy supplemental plans in Denmark. You can't do this in Bernie's care. He's going to do away with private insurances. The services Bernie says he's going to provide are bigger than what Denmark provides. All of Denmark's healthcare is municipal, Bernie wants fully national health care. He's a nutcase.

How much is healthcare costing us now, including insurance? How much are drugs costing us? Are we getting good value for our spending compared to other nations?

Has Trump come up with a plan to make it better? Has Biden? Amy?

Has Bernie came up with one?

#1 priority and he can’t figure out how to pay for it or what it will cost. That’s not a plan or priority. That’s a fantasy.

Why don’t you get out your calculator and tell us exactly what a plan would cost that will be implemented between 2021 and 2025. How much did Trump say we would pay for the wall? Why aren’t you whining like a little girl about that too?

Have you ever been educated on the difference between trillions and billions?

I don't have the slightest clue what it would cost. And guess what, I don't have to know. I am not running for president, Bernie is.

Again, people didn't vote for Trump because he said Mexico was going to pay for the wall. They voted for him because he ran on issues that people care about. Jobs, economy growth, better trade deals, immigration reform, etc. That is what people wanted in 2016. And he has done those things in his 3 years as president. The status quo in this country is dead. Evidence is clearly there.

Do they want that again in 2020 or do they think "free college" and "medicare for all" is justifiable and doable while keeping the same economic and job growth? That is the question we have to answer before November. And unfortunately, I have yet to see a plan or answer for that.

It's one fifth of the economy under Gubmint. There's studies out there on the costs. People 7/10 want to keep their private insurance. Plus, Bernie has lied about the major details. Cost, who runs it, who loses their jayobee. etc. He's a nut. There's no plan. And Fidel didn't provide a literacy program. It's like saying Mussolini ran the trains on time.

How many people want to keep their private insurance depends on how you ask the question and you know it.

I agree.
A vast number of individual polls have been consistent. A majority of people want to keep their private insurance and they're satisfied with the quality of care.
Now price that's an issue. A big one. I agree with you on this. HC costs are a tremendous burden.

I want the private plan system.
Like most people I fear getting sick and dying but I don't dwell on it.
But turning it over to a nutcase isn't the answer.

With the out of pocket and deductibles my wife and I have I think it would be reasonable for us to be paying 1/2 of what we pay now for premiums. So we would still be paying $7,000 per year plus out of pocket expenses. I’m not asking for free anything. Just reasonable.

so how could that be accomplished? Elimination of the huge overhead of private insurance and price controls on basic doctor, hospital, lab, therapy, rehab and testing.

I'm down for eliminating private insurance, I'm not ok with price controls.

Healthcare is a service and like any other service industry they should be able to set their own prices.
