Why is Ryan T talking for all the black players? This seems a little supremacist to me. Ryan Tannehill explains in true Robin Deangelo fashion that American is deeply evil and founded in racists ideals.
Kind of make it's hard to root for a guy, that in the country where he is a millionaire for throwing a football is really an evil, terrible place.
His statement is what's it like when you read the first page of the 1619 Project.
Solid take that America was founded on racist ideals. It's an absolute lie.
As it turns out slavery has been universal to the human condition for virtually all of time.
Until the enlightenment and in the US was one of the first countries in the world to fight against slavery. With certain US states outlawing slavery as early as the late 18th century.
There was an attempt in our Constitution to phase out slavery and the explicit discussion of phasing out slavery by 1808. The Northwest Ordinance signed into law by George Washington explicitly prevented slavery from spreading to territories.
BUT THIS WOULD ASK FOR HISTORICAL LITERACY.
Historical literacy of no consequence, we have to pretend that America is uniquely evil. And American ideals are uniquely evil.
If this is the way the NHL, NFL, NBA, WNBA are going to treat me as a fan. Honestly, I have no interest. I'm not interested to hearing that I am responsible for all sins of the past, and I refuse to acknowledge I am somehow responsible for slavery.
Or because I grew up in a solid two-parent household, and I'm not a particular member of a minority group and that means I'm part of the oppressive class.
If sports league are going to tell me this, then guess what? I can turn off the TV.
