The Ohio Valley Conference
The Athletic Director @ SEMO appears to be trying to upgrade all programs not just football and basketball. The dismissed coaches salaries must be upgraded for desired results. It appears many SEMO alums are discussing college basketball @ McDonald's, Bars, Coffee shops, text messaging, Telephone and other ways. I am totally not in the lop but from what I'm hearing, the SEMO AD will put together a package that will be competitive ( But the question is, Competitive with who? )
The salaries of the dismissed coaches @ SIU-E and SEMO will not be in play when hiring new coaches, Both SIU-E and SEMO expect to pay more and get better results. It's difficult to get the salary range but I'll guess between $ 200,000 and 350,000 dollars, maybe more if John Calipari or Rick Barnes apply.
I will stick with the " Rumor " that the resignation or fired Missouri asst. will be interviewed for the head basketball position @ SEMO.
It appears to me that both dismissed basketball coaches @ SIU-E and SEMO moved their teams forward but more results were expected and the new coaches may be in a position to move up in the standing.
Here are the competing teams in the Ohio Valley schools.
