Does anyone besides me think they need to change the rules when there is an official review of a play? Right now every time there is a review the players are allowed to walk over to their bench and have coaches to talk to them. There are 5 to 10 reviews in almost every game these days which gives the coaches a free timeout for every review. I say the players in the game should have to go to the opposite side of the floor from their bench during all official reviews. If the coach wants to say something to them he'll have to yell it out for everyone to hear.

have the coaches get so many challenges per game. All those reviews and extra timeout for media sure take away from the flo of the game.

Either way the players should not be allowed to go their bench during the review and get free timeouts.

Make them stand in front of opponent's student section.

Seriously, in all sports they need to speed up the process. TV coverage can run replays instantly. Put another official at the table and he can make the call in seconds.

Yes, reviews kill the momentum for teams sometimes.

Lost a high school game this season because refs had to have an unexpected 30 second delay to discuss a substitution on the other teams side of court they all huddle around their coach draw up new inbounds play after first one didn't work and make shot no time remaining.

You could send them to the FT line at the opposite end from their bench. But I assume a reason they let them go to their own bench is to eliminate any chance of a altercation while a couple of officials are occupied at the table.

Honestly there are way too many stoppages in basketball games today. They kill momentum. They take excitement away. They make coaching and playing easier. How many times do we see the last 2 minutes of a game take 15 to complete! Reviews need to be much faster. If one or two looks don't give you a clear picture move on. And the bigger thing is they need fewer timeouts overall. If they're going to have 3-4 media timeouts per half they should only get a couple more total. Speed the game back up.

I hate replay. Hate it. But if you’re gonna have it, it shouldn’t be in slow motion. Show the refs the play, in real speed. If they can’t tell from that, the call stands.

Officiating is hard and they generally do a good job. But like all of us they sometimes make mistakes. Sometimes those come at a time that can completely change the outcome. I'm not against being able to correct an obvious incorrect call. I do kind of like this idea. If you have to go frame by frame to discern what happened then it's too close to change the original call. I also think all reviews should have to be requested. You only get a couple per game. You save them for the ones you KNOW they got wrong, not that you just HOPE they got wrong.
