Rough day for the ACC

After Virginia went down to Florida last night. Today FSU dropped one to Herm and Va Tech got topped by Kentucky.

Previously Miami got shut out and Wake Forest lost. They did get wins out of Clemson, thanks to refs, and Pitt.

Was a down year overall no doubt about that. FSU made a great hire IMO. We’ll see how it works out.

Always entertaining Veer. Of course I can understand your consistent negativity towards ND and the Big 12, and even on occasion the Big 10. Admittedly the NCAA screwed Mizzou this year, however Mizzou football is the very definition of mediocrity. Let me help you out:

* 15 conference championships since 1893. The last in 1969 (under a coach who departed for ND - ouch!). Cracks me up that you are calling out ND for their last NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
* 33 Bowl games with a sparkling 15 - 18 record. Interestingly, and as one might expect from a perpetual middle of the pack team 1 - 2 vs. the hated and apparently inferior Big 12.
* 24 - 67 - 5 Lifetime vs. “Boomer”
* 6 - 18 Lifetime vs. “Bevo”
* 36 - 65 - 3 vs. “Nubs” (including 24 consecutive losses beginning in 1979)
* On a positive note you do lead the all time series with Kansas 57 - 54 - 9

ND hasn't won a major bowl since the 1993 Cotton Bowl.

Tough year for the Big 12.

Again - Mizzou is a “never was.” ND at least has a tradition and has actually been to the top. Mizzou - maybe the top of the middle... Great bandwagon fan base for Mizzou as well. Definitely not a difficult ticket - almost on par with a Jayhawks ducket!

Not worried about Rock - one losing season in about the last 50 or so. Apparently coaching there is an attractive proposition.

Actually I’ve always been a pretty big fan of Miege. I always enjoy good private school success!

Not sure - are Webb and Rockhurst scheduled to play again soon? No shame in losing those games. In those years Webb was the better team, and props to them as they have demonstrated successful longevity only seen by a few other programs in the state. Of course I can understand your pride as a long-time Webb resident, ex-player, and weekly game attendee. Kinda like rooting for Alabama as your team sits home once again, grasping at any crumb of relationship to assuage your obvious envy of true winning heritage.

Entitlement? I thought that’s what you call a free education.
