I was just informed that long-time poster gianthook passed away today. I don't have any details and I didn't know him well enough to share a lot of information. I do know he officiated high school football and baseball before moving recently to Florida. He was also one of the "good guys" that was here to share information and not stir the pot. He will be missed. Prayers to his family.

I hate to hear this. "gianthook" was one of the first longtime posters on Mosports that I actually met. Great guy. A true fan of the game. Very sad to hear this.

Well that sucks. He was a great poster from way back, and one of the few football posters from SE MO. Always seemed like a great guy.
Thanks for sharing, nonetheless.

I am saddened by the loss of our friend Mike, aka Gianthook way too early. What a kind hearted gentleman who loved high school athletics and always found a way to find the positive. RIP hook, we will miss you my friend.
