He wasn’t trying to change their minds. He was just showing their hypocrisy and it was hilarious. It will probably be the only thing anyone remembers about the show after about a week.
On the other hand, after reading posters, you cannot change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. You cannot change the basic perception and illogical behavior. In other words, these people, the process of indoctrination is complete and irreversible.
But...when comedians start telling jokes and getting people to laugh at themselves, that's a better way. I'm sure some of them will remain indignant and double down. Ricky is a national treasure IMO. He nailed it last night.
To hear the crowd's awkward laugh was priceless.
Slate and other lefties publications have written dumb pieces trying to get Ricky canceled.
There is no unfunny Jefferey Epstein joke but Gervais points out that the Hollywood elite hangs out with the worst people in the world.

Yes, nearly all of them got up and did the exact opposite of what Ricky Gervais told them not to do, which is to lecture us in their acceptance speeches.
Michelle Williams got up and lectured us on abortion after the Greta joke and their lack of education and this broad literally dropped out of school at 15years old, filed herself legally separated so she could avoid child labor laws and pursue whatever she does. Then she explains what is deeply necessary for all young women is abortion. Bahaha
Most of the awardee's comments were forgettable.
Joaquin Pheonix may be a nut but at least he's holding his peers to a standard. Of course, he got played off the stage when suggested the unthinkable that celebrities who complain about Global Warming should not fly on private jets everywhere they go.

She pretends to have some high moral ground. She's beautiful, rich and has fame and had an empty message of self-congratulations.

She thanked God, she lived in a country where she can kill her baby to be a successful Hollywood actress. I don't think she's thanking God, its something else.
