Chillicothe missed the go ahead FG with 2 min left, but a roughing the kicker call on Richmond gave them life. Richmond held Chilli to another FG attempt, this time successful. Richmond takes over around their own 30 with 1:22 left, down 31-28, drives down to the 25 or so but ends up with a 4th and 30... They gain 30.5 and with 2 seconds left get to the 3 yard line, call a TO, and kick the game tying FG as time expires

In overtime, Richmond gets the ball first. They score to make it 38-31. Chillicothe drives all 25 yards and scores 38-37, and now have to decide to go for the win, or play it safe and kick the extra point... They play it safe, and the poor kid yanks it left and the game is over...

Thanks for attending the game, I hope you enjoyed our facilities and town. Someone that would make a drive to sit in a steady downpour to watch a high school football game is either a player's parent, or a true high school sports fan.
Tough to see my boys lose like that, the kicker is a good, smart kid and will do well in life. But to be honest, it never should of went OT. Congrats and best of luck to Coach Bowers and his Richmond Spartans team.

I watched the game online after I got home from the Maryville game so I already knew what the score was but sounded like a good game and wanted to see for myself how it went. Really felt bad for the Hornets as they had that game won, 4th down and 25? Hail Mary for the first down and got it? Terrible way to lose a ball game. But the defense looked really strong at times. Represented the MEC well! Look forward to seeing them play again next year.
