It's not completely official through proper channels, but the cat is out of the bag. Long time Chillicothe head football coach and hall of fame member Phil Willard is announcing his retirement. Good luck to one of the good guys in the coaching fraternity.

Been on scouting trips with him as well as hiring him for sectional track meets. Quality guy all around. Although, the new Chilli stadium he designed is as windy a place as God never intended.

No idea. Several assistant coaches had sons in this year's senior class, so we'll see how many assistants continue. One long time assistant has already announced he is also hanging up his whistle. Two coaches in a 55 year time span... big shoes to fill!

Those are big shoes to fill. Anytime a good, well respected coach leaves a program, the shoes are always big to fill! When Coach Nickerson left, Ampipe was in the dumps! We have slowly recovered though. The Booster club might have had a hand in that, he he. I know Chili will make the right decision. They have some solid tradition there!
