Class 4:
1. Borgia-----2006 and 2009

Republic-----2013 and 2014

Sikeston ------------won in 2011 and could defeat the odds and win it again this year ( Must defeat Vashon and then Lafayette St. Joes )--That is a tall-tall order.

Vashon won a class 5 championship in 2005 and has " Even Odds " to win class 4 this year. ( Must defeat Sikeston and then Lafayette St. Joes )-That will not be easy--The " Indicators " point to Lafayette St. Joes as having the best odds to win class 4 in 2016 because of playing Helias in the semi-finals.

Class 5 :

2. McCluer North------ 2007, 2011 and 2012

Chaminade won in 2009 and is a huge-huge favorite to win again this year. People in Springfield are talking about Kickapoo's chances @ a class 5 state championship but the talk appear to " Have a milder tone " as we close in on the final four and Chaminade is still standing.

Chaminade is the favorite for sure. However, it will not be handed to them. Kickapoo has a tall order on Thursday agains LS Tigers. If Kickapoo wins I can Guarantee you one thing. When K-Poo's shot is on they can run with anyone, including the Red Devils.

Ru and others, Could someone give us some information on Lafayette St. Joes coached by Chris Neff I am hearing Lafayette St. Joes can win a state championship in 2016. A correction was made on this post. ( By thetophat )

Here is my question? Does Lafayette St. Joes have a legitimate chance to win a class 4 state championship in 2016?

I have heard a lot of great things about Lafayette Saint Joe. And most importantly I've heard they're hungry. On a sidenote though I will be pulling for Lafayette St. Joe simply because The city of Saint Joe was founded many many many moons ago by my family

Lafayette St. Joes was defeated in the quarters by Bolivar last year, a game St. Joes could have won. St. Joes was the defending class 4 champion in 2015. I am hearing Lafayette St. Joes can not wait to get on the floor and try to win their second championship in three years.

Kearney played and lost to Bolivar in the 2015 C4 quarterfinal at Liberty North, not Lafayette. The Irish lost in the district semis vs. Platte County in one of the biggest upsets I can remember.

Lafayette St. Joes won in 2014--The " Odds are Even " to win it again this year( Lafayette should walk to the finals and must defeat Sikeston or Vashon)

Lafayette actually lost a thriller (which I saw on Fox Sports) to Republic in 2014.

Unfortunately when Chillicothe played Lafayette, it was guys at Lafayette and Girls at Chillicothe on the same night, and I elected to do the girls game (girls won in a good game, Lafayette handled Chilli boys easily)
The #1 thing I heard from Chillicothe fans was that Lafayette was lightening quick, and easily picked off cross court passes and such.
By the way, St Joe has two schools in the final four this year.. Lafayette Boys and undefeated Benton girls.
