I’m very excited about this one! (Though not excited enough not to enjoy my first Friday Night home since August 😅)

These things typically go one of two ways:

The losing team from the first game comes ready and avenges their close loss with a close win…

Or the winning team from the first game wakes up and shows the world that the first game should not have been as close as it was…

It was definitely the 2nd one. Seneca still a huge favorite next Friday.

This Friday will be a shootout. Neither defense is very good, and both offenses can put up points. Should be a fun game to attend.

The Dodson kid from Mt. Vernon who is probably their best player rolled his ankle Friday and was limping pretty bad after the game. If he does not play Mt. Vernon has no chance.

Having seen both of them, there is no doubt that Seneca is the favorite. But you never count out a Tom Cox coached team. But, I agree, if they dont have Dodson, it got a whole lot more difficult.

Maryville and BO are the only teams that could or should give Seneca a scare or might beat them. BO especially though.

It’s definitely NOT bad. But it’s got some issues against physical running teams. Nevada comes to mind.

I just think they will get exposed a bit playing a team that passes the ball compared to all the run heavy Big 8 West Teams. Don't get me wrong, Seneca should win this game. Better athletes all over the field, and can put up points fast. The only way I see Mt. Vernon MAYBE winning is if they can turn the indians over. But Tom Cox will have a good scheme and get some points on the board. Everyone wrote this game off last year for Seneca and I believe it ended up a 4-5 point game. Should be fun Friday night under the totem pole.

Sophomore mistakes last year, that is why I say they will have to take care of the ball.

If you have seen both, I cant imagine thinking anything except Seneca as the favorite. But, you are making a big mistake if you sleep on the Green.

Seneca's a well balanced team. Going thru the Big 8 like they did verifies that.
