Ray-Pec Head Coach/AD Tom Kruse retiring

He will be back, these guys usually show up in another district.
Great career at his alma mater

Agree, surely he will be coaching again somewhere next season. Are there front runners for his replacement? One would think a hire within the program would be best, they have the Kruse blueprint, just keep it going (easier said than done) but they have some good assistants.

Tim Dade was the head coach at Harrisonville at that time. He won a state title at Jasper in 1979. He came to Harrisonville in 1986 as a defensive backs coach. He became head coach in 1990 thru 2001. He moved onto Blue Springs as an assistant for Kelly Donahoe. Tim would eventually become the defensive coordinator. He retired about 4 or 5 years ago.
Who was the HC at Harrisonville at the time?

I had thought he was still coaching at Blue Springs? Could be wrong

Did some checking, he actually came back this season to coach Linebackers. This is from the BS Football website.

After graduating from Nevada High School in 1971, Coach Dade attended Southwest Missouri State (now Missouri State University) and earned his lifetime certificate in physical education and health. During the 1981-82 school year, he received his master’s degree in physical education from Pittsburg State University. He then spent the first 26 years of his career teaching and coaching in locations that included Jasper High School, East Newton High School and Harrisonville High School before coming to Blue Springs in 2002. After serving as Blue Springs’ defensive coordinator during back-to-back state champion teams in 2012-13, Coach Dade retired after 37 years in education. In 2019, a vacancy on staff brought him back to coaching after being away for 5 years. Of his 37 years of coaching, he has been fortunate to have spent 14 years of that time as a head coach in both football and track & field.

Glad to hear he didn't stay in that old red pickup truck.

It will be interesting to see who will become the next head coach. I could see longtime DC Sean Martin as a candidate. And maybe former Oak Grove HC Brad Gaines is a possible internal candidate. He's been an R-P assistant for around 9 years now

Also thought I would add that Kruse was OC for 2 years under Greg Jones at PH South when the school opened in 1998. Prior to that, they both were assistants at Park Hill HS. Kruse became the RP HC in 2000

I dont think Brad Gaines has any desire to be head coach. This one is going to draw some names...
