Question

Why gun safety and training at a early age is paramount. Understanding the ramifications and permanent damage done by not handling firearms in a proper manner is key to making sure accidents and misguided behavior doesn't happen.

Why would a 6 yr old think of shooting a teacher well that is the question what would prompt a child of 6yrs old to feel so traumatized/Victimized that he would steal a firearm and use it on a teacher in what clearly appears to be an act of perceived self defense.

Maybe this child has a history of mental illness and has showed actual signs of psychopathic tendencies some children do as young as 2/4 years of age. But if that was the case then why did he stop at just shooting at the teacher? Why did he target her first? LEO first said there at been a altercation between him and the teacher and then later reworded that to a interaction between them on a earlier occasion, was there a pattern? Was this documented?

It appears there is a history here and what that is needs to be determined. But hey let's just focus on the gun as apposed to the actual incident and the reasons that set it into motion.

You are one "out there" kinda guy. What possible reason could there be for a 6yo to be able to get his hands on a gun AND use it on a teacher? There are MANY channels to handle a problem between a teacher and a student but a gun ain't one of em!

Really? That is what you have taken from the above post. The child is 6 years OLD. His rational and thinking process is concrete and straightforward. Most Children lack the ability to geometrically think or rationalize with abstract thought and reasoning. Children often can't conceptualize Adult Channels or the Avenues and Nuances of the World they live in.

My point was that this child has some undiagnosed mental issue thus leading up to his irrational actions over a minor incident or possibly the teacher's actions over the course of the school year traumatized and scared this child into a irrational action of self preservation. In layman's terms it's Flight or Fight responsive to frightening and stressful actions of a Adult with power over this child.

How you determined that I was making a case that his actions of stealing a gun and shooting in a classroom was justified is just off the Rails to me. I really am at a loss again on your interpretation of my post.
