How come all the southwest quarterfinal games in Class 1, 2, and 3 are being played in Warrensburg? Just seemed odd that no games being played around Springfield metro like normal.
Probably for all those times teams not in *BFE (see Football board map) had to trek down there.Yeah I noticed that as well. Thayer has to go all the way to Warrensburg. That is quite the haul.
When do schools ever have to trek down there/here for playoffs?Probably for all those times teams not in *BFE (see Football board map) had to trek down there.
Because they want some high quality boys basketball played in Warrensburg? UCM sure hasn't played any!How come all the southwest quarterfinal games in Class 1, 2, and 3 are being played in Warrensburg? Just seemed odd that no games being played around Springfield metro like normal.
All the time in football. When do schools ever have to trek down there/here for playoffs?
The MSHSAA site shows the class 1 SEMO area quarters at Van Buren.I can only guess it has to do with site availability. This year all the Class 1-3 Quarterfinals, boys on Mar 3, girls on Mar 4, are tripleheaders in Farmington, Moberly, St.Joe and Warrensburg.
And now I'm reading you can't buy tickets at the door for any quarter final games. They have to be purchased online before hand. Guess I won't see games like I used to. I never know for sure if I'll go or not. I'm certainly not buying them ahead of time.I see you're correct. B+G Class 1 Quarters are in Van Buren, while Class 2 +3 are in Farmington
You can buy them at the door with a smart phone. There will be a QR code to scan to buy them. And now I'm reading you can't buy tickets at the door for any quarter final games. It appears to be $8 for one game at Van Buren and $8 for two games at Farmington and $8 for all three games elsewhere. Seriously?? What a joke MSHSAA has become.
I just read a tweet from someone at a participating school that said tickets not available for purchase at the door. Not sure what to believe now. There shouldn't even be a question. You can buy them at the door with a smart phone. There will be a QR code to scan to buy them.
I was told no ticket sales at the door also. If they do the phone crap it will hold up the line even more than handing them some money.I just read a tweet from someone at a participating school that said tickets not available for purchase at the door. This allows mshsaa to track the money.I was told no ticket sales at the door also. If they do the phone crap it will hold up the line even more than handing them some money.
It's possible it's not the same at every site. I used a QR code when I arrived at Salisbury last night.I just read a tweet from someone at a participating school that said tickets not available for purchase at the door. Not sure what to believe now. There shouldn't even be a question.
