He was asked to condemn white supremacy. He asked give me a name and that was the name that came up. He did not condemn them. He then claimed not to know who they were. So at the time everyone on the stage believed they were and he did not condemn them. Now the right is working hard to defend the group as if them not being white supremacists makes him not condemning them makes it OK. He never said they are not white supremacists, he still refused to condemn white supremacists.
