I'm just using the same logic Duck and others on here have used against me. If my Libertarian vote was a "wasted vote for Trump", then Duck's throwaway vote for Bernie is also a vote for Trump.
You don't have to like it, but you're going to have to accept it. If I "voted for Trump", then so did Duck.
Bernie and Trump were never on the same ballot together. It was impossible for a Bernie vote to take away a vote from any of Trump's presidential competitors.
By not voting for Hillary he lowered her chance of winning. Ergo he voted for Trump. Especially since a sizable number of "Bernie Bros" decided to waste their ballot and vote Bernie instead of Hillary.
Duck and everyone like him handed Trump the election.
Back in 2016, two relatively intelligent and decent dudes on mosports wcowherd and neutron monster and I went round and round about Hillary Clinton. I told them time and again that she had no shot in Missouri based on conversations I had had and also overheard with working class white men in rural Missouri. These men were life long Dems who would have voted for Bernie but had to vote for Trump. They didn’t trust Hillary. Cowherd and NM didn’t believe me. If I thought she had a legit shot I might have held my nose and voted for her. Because of the stupid EC, liberal votes for president in Missouri are all wasted. I figured a protest vote for Bernie was just as meaningful. I wrote Bernie’s name in because I believed in universal healthcare and keeping our banks strongly regulated. Hillary was nothing more than a repub light. Trump was a criminal con man.

Ding ding ding. If the Dems had insisted on a reasonable candidate they probably win in a landslide. But they allowed the Clinton machine to dictate everything and it's nobody's fault but their own. Now they're so mad they lost that they're screaming and yelling and doing anything possible to try to get Trump. Why not just find someone who can win the next election and move on. All they're doing is making it easier for Trump to win again. They still have no reasonable candidate and they're just continuing to pump up the Republicans to stick it back in their faces......again.
It's also quite the accomplishment that Nancy Pelosi is actually looking like the most reasonable Dem out there now. She seems to be the only one smart enough to know what all this is doing. Who would have ever thought she would be that.
Pelosi is a 79 year old, tired, corporate Dem who is allowing a lawless scoundrel to stay in power. Your partisanship is blinding you. This heathen con man is driving this country to hell. The excuses you will make when this next recession is a bad one due to deregulation run wild will be equally sad.
Try country over party. It will make you feel better.
Exactly what deregulation will have anything to do with the next recession being any worse????
He has deregulated so many industries the list is exhaustive. But one in particular is the financial/banking industry having wolves in charge of the hen house once again.
Exactly what regulations has Trump done away with in the banking industry that would make a recession worse???

That's the one area where Dems haven't totally lost me. As a hunter and conservative (conservationist) I'm on board with environmental protections.

I sincerely believe Tulsi is the Dems best chance as long as she just sticks to who she is and doesn't attempt to appeal to the vocal minority that seems to be steering her party. She appears to me moderate enough to appeal to undecided independents and even some conservatives.
But the Dems aren't about appealing to moderates, so she's out and Trump will likely roll whoever they decide to run, and the liberal meltdown will continue for another 4 years.
Exactly. If the Dems want my vote, they have a candidate capable of getting it.
Tulsi has two things going for her. 1. She has been a soldier. 2. She is better looking than the other candidates.
That is it. She served our country but she isn’t very smart—similar to Dan. She traveled to Syria and kissed the murderous dictator, Assad’s arse. People on both sides ridicule her for that and will not let voters forget it.
She really doesn’t have any unique ideas for transforming the country and hasn’t been super energetic in campaigning. She isn’t a great communicator. She will be lucky to garner 1% of the votes in the early primaries unless something drastic happens to several other candidates.
