I heard the Redbirds team won both their games over MSSU and a Drury team. I know Miller has 4 girls on that team. I’m not sure who else though.
They played in the Class 5 state championship game in Oklahoma a few months ago. I would say pretty good.
I figured Miller would look rough today. 4 of their players played 2 games last night at the pro-am. Today it was back to school ball with a new coach and new system. Curious to see how different they look.
Redbirds will be playing today and this weekend at the MAYB Summer Kickoff in Wichita. Should be a good tournament for them!
Sounds like a good way to cause some injuries. Tired legs will cause something to give at some point.

There were only a few blow outs. Most games were close. The team that went 0-8 (Labette County, KS) only lost 1 or 2 games by a big margin.

I think it was definitely the toughest pool. I thought Miller did OK being probably the smallest school. Sometimes getting whooped isn’t a bad thing.

With the success the Redbirds are having this summer makes me wonder why the Miller parents didn’t push the school board/administration to hire their summer coach, Ted Young, when the girls coaching job opened up recently. He is retired and one of the best coaches in the state

Let's just say the white squirrels were attacking Mr Comet himself over the thought of it. They got a good one though to help lead them this next year though. Outside of the Tallequah game they looked good in all their games at Pitt. As for the Redbirds, they dominated in Wichita over the weekend. Pretty impressive group of unselfish girls. Tonight at the Pro Am they led Drury most of the game but ended up falling late without 2 of their girls. In the 2nd game they smoked Crowder. So far the Redbirds are 12-1.
A few interesting things from the Pitt St campus this week. Carthage and Ozark were in the same pool and had the exact same record (4-4). I am not sure why but Ozark was only in the 2nd strongest pool with Carthage while Republic and CJ were in the top pool. Republic had a better record than CJ but CJ beat Republic when they played head to head.
I was there for 2 days of that camp. Republic looked strong. The highest division was legit even with Grain Valley and Blue Springs missing their studs. Park Hill's D1 commit to Creighton was present. Who is the blonde guard for Republic, kinda tall, very impressed with her.
Kaemyn Bekemeier. She's getting plenty of D1 offers. Only going to be a junior this coming season.
Watching the COC back in Jr High it was obvious the Bekemeier Republic along with Burgee Carl Junction & Yates Carthage would all play somewhere at the next level. All 3 should have a strong Junior year!
If all stays on schedule, yes she will be. She’s the straw that stirs the drink for the Lady Tigers.
