This is a breakdown of the championship game participants and state champion by class since 1968 using the data from the MSHSAA site. Draw your own conclusions. As for me it is obvious in some decades private schools in class 2 and 3 particularly were definitely over represented in the championship game and the number of championships won. Someone with more knowledge would have to post hat info. Will post class 4-6 later CLASS 1

Only thing I can understand on this is the "Lamar Effect"

What is the "Lamar effect"?

you can seriously get a seizure if you try to read this.

I suppose we'd have the Webb/Kearney effect in Class 4? Public schools that have won almost all the championships since 2000? By the way, Private schools in class 6 (or the largest class since 1968) have only won 13. The Rock/CBC effect?

I would be interested in knowing the "Multiplier Effect," since the year 2003 or whenever the multiplier was first used.

The Lamar effect is reference to public schools winning all 9 Class two titles this decade, Lamar 7, BO 1, Hamilton 1. I will get the formatting worked out and try to get this on tomorrow where it doesn't cause health problems.

No private school has won Class 4 since the inception of the 6 classes in 2002.

Lol I spent about 30 seconds trying to understand it and just gave up.

I would also be interested to see the number of actual public and private schools participating in football by class to help see how much any representation is.

Last i checked private schools made up 13% of football programs in mo. I may be remembering wrong however.
