Portageville 43, NMCC 0 Final

Marionville was only 2 points ahead of Portageville in district standings.

The comets should get max points today against Miller but Pville playing up, will it be enough to push them over the top and take the 1 seed? That could be a huge swing come district championship time if so.

Wouldn't that be something if the teams in Kentucky host all the district games?

Not happening though. Marionville found enough jabronis to keep the 1.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Going to be tight. Pville maybe the new favorite in that district. I don't think anyone saw them pitching a huge shutout like that

I think they've been the favorite all along.
I knew they were solid, but I dont think anyone had a real grasp on how good. But I am also willing to admit that my perspective is to automatically assume that teams from that way are overrated. Did you expect them to win by 40?

I don't know about 40 but I knew that NMCC wasn't going to beat them.
Valle bois on here saying NMCC might present challenges in districts. Gimme a break. Valle has a cakewalk to the state finals.

Doesn't the football advisory committee make up the brackets?

Coming from someone who’s pulling for Cabool, Portageville is definitely my favorite now.

Not gonna be enough to push them to the 1 though. Marionville will squeak out the 1 seed with one of the weakest schedules in the whole district.

By this weeks conclusion, the top 5 in that district should be:

1. Marionville
2. Portageville
3. Thayer
4. Cabool
5. Ash Grove

That would be good news for Cabool with a possible matchup with Marionville and bad news for Thayer with getting what appears to be a really good Pville team.

Two things need to happen:

1. Cabool maxes out point against Class 3 Salem, which I think we can agree is very likely.
2. Ash Grove loses to Sarcoxie, which I think is going to happen, BUT it’s HS football so you never know.
I just think Sarcoxie is the better team. AG is pretty one dimensional. Shut down the Nicholson kid at WR and you’re going to win. (He’s the son of Jeremy Nicholson I believe. Who started both WR for MSU and played on the basketball team there as well)
