Poplar Bluff Girls varsity basketball coach

I've been told the position has now been advertised. I knew Coach Chronister had planned to retire after this season but I guess it's official now.

That is a big job to fill. Any idea who top contenders might be 3R?

Haven't heard any thing other than a couple of rumors about who will apply, but it just came open when the PB season ended. I assume there will be some interest out there. I don't know if they will be looking for a coach with several years of head coaching experience or want to bring in a young fresh face that will cost less to hire. I don't of know of anybody in district that wants it but who knows, and I can't think of any coaches in this immediate area that would leave the school where they coach now to take it.

Just want to congratulate Kirk Chronister on an outstanding career at Poplar Bluff!
You don't evaluate a career based on wins and losses alone. You also take into consideration the impact that a coach has on young lives and Kirk has been a great motivator and good friend to those he's led through the Poplar Bluff program.
Although he never took home that elusive state title, his positive contribution to the people he's coached will be far more important in the future of their lives
