The 2008-09 season marks the Plantations Junior Golf Tour’s 15th season as the nation’s foremost Fall-Winter-Spring junior golf tour. The PJGT offers boys and girls, ages 8-19, the chance to play competitive tournament golf at first class golf courses. All PJGT events are two and three day tournaments with all participants playing 18 holes each day. With no resume required and no handicap restrictions, the PJGT is the place for junior golfers to showcase their talent and receive the recognition they deserve. Members of the PJGT receive national exposure through Junior Golf Scoreboard and Golfweek Newspaper. Members can also receive exemptions for the AJGA and Callaway Junior Series.
Running from Labor Day weekend 2008 until Memorial Day weekend 2009, the 2008-2009 season proves to be an exciting one with over 85 tournaments in 19 states at some of the country’s best courses including Kingsmill, The Homestead, Kiawah Island Resort, Whistling Straits, Innisbrook, Cog Hill, TPC courses Louisiana, Deere Run, River’s Bend, and Sawgrass, plus many NCAA facilities. Former PJGT alumni include PGA Tour players (Jonathan Byrd, Bill Haas, DJ Trahan, JB Holmes, Kyle Reiffers, Webb Simpson, and Dustin Johnson) and LPGA members (Reilly Rankin, Julieta Granada, and Morgan Pressel.)
