That's crazy to add them. Why would anyone along 49 (71) want to add them to the conference? Talk about some major travel time when these schools already play boys and girls bball on the same nights to control bus expenses.
Maybe they will be able to be a little more competitive... They were outscored 586-20 so far this season. They gave up more than 80 twice and never less than 54. Just hope they are able to keep a program
that is what i was thinking. i have talked to a friend from Pleasant Hope and they will have both Varsity and JV teams every year..Probably doesn't hurt the SRVC either to have some extra teams in the event another has to go 8-man for a cycle.
Forsyth?Who would be another potential team to join? So SRVC teams will have 10 conference games in other sports?
That's a lot of travel for Forsyth, I would think that the Mid-Lakes is where they would want to be as far as proximity to schools their sizeForsyth?
Yes, they would have 10 in the other sports, making a pretty decent size conference schedule. I doubt anyone else is added. This was good move size wise for PHope. Right at 200 kids, playing in a conference that as everyone else in their enrollment range. With the exception of Ash Grove, Marionville, and Skyline, who are in the 230-250 range, the MLC is pretty heavy around 300-350 and is adding Forsyth and Clever that are well into the 300s, if not pushing 400. This places PHope in the middle to top of the SRVC. While not great geographically, their only other option was the Summit and they don't have football.Who would be another potential team to join?
