I have seen Maryville play against BO and Lutheran North. They are a good as they always are but not a juggernaut by any stretch. They are well coached and make sound adjustments on the fly with ease because of their high disciplined team. They played well against BO until BO made some of their own adjustments and which they were then overmatched. Lutheran North almost lost to Maryville but due to just a couple of plays the LN pulled out the victory. I expect Maryville to do quite well in this game as well as the Roosters and this game should be tight through atleast 3 quarters if not 4 and would see Maryville moving on. Though based upon other factors Pleasant hill could pull this one out as well.
Just playing................I think Maryville wins this one but no real read, either.
Timing indeed. Major warming trend beginning Sunday PM. Next weekend could be total opposite of these last two............On paper think pretty even. But the Hound Pound seems to be one of the best home field advantages in the state. 90-4 last ten years.
Also weather a factor. Those Nebraska/Iowa winds out of the north can be quite brisk in November. Single digit windchills possible Saturday.
Latest NWS forecast for 1 p.m. Saturday in Maryville: 27 degrees, winds NW @ 20 (gusts to 26), wind chill 14.Timing indeed. Major warming trend beginning Sunday PM. Next weekend could be total opposite of these last two............

It is brisk this morning up here.BRRRRRRRRRRRR
Favors physical running games and hurts tackling which plays into the former. I will say you will not see anywhere near the individual skill talent Richmond brought last year but Pleasant Hill should actually be good with these conditions. It is brisk this morning up here.

Yes even in the NFL they talk about the first real cold game or two affecting it.Hurts tackling?
That was another memorably cold November indeed. Heck the whole winter was.1996 semi final game was brisk

We saw and sat around several experienced FB folks around us at LN we were commenting about this very subject much as you seem to like to dismiss it.
We sat by and around a bunch of what I'd call HSFB experts they nailed this one. That was very educational if frigid today.Pleasant Hill 43 - 28 Maryville Final
I bet you did. Not hard to find experts in the stands at most games! Lol. But cold doesn't win or lose games. Better players and teams do.We sat by and around a bunch of what I'd call HSFB experts they nailed this one. That was very educational if frigid today.
Ex and current HSFB HCs, players and coordinators. Yeah I listen to them.I bet you did. Not hard to find experts in the stands at most games! Lol. But cold doesn't win or lose games. Better players and teams do.
How'd their teams play today? Get any expertise on that?Ex and current HSFB HCs, players and coordinators. Yeah I listen to them.

I'm through with you and your stupid elitism. Move on.How'd their teams play today? Get any expertise on that?
One more BS trolling post from you I am putting on ignore. How'd their teams play today? Get any expertise on that?
Just calling bullshit by name. The temperature decided no games today. Take it personal if you want. I'll live. One more BS trolling post from you I am putting on ignore.

Think Reeds (I think they will handle Sullivan) can beat either Pleasant or Cardinal?Gone.
Just curious.“Think Reeds (I think they will handle Sullivan) can beat either Pleasant or Cardinal?”
No
Think Reeds (I think they will handle Sullivan) can beat either Pleasant or Cardinal?
Nope Ritter is the now clear cut (likely always were frankly) favorite to win C3.Think Reeds (I think they will handle Sullivan) can beat either Pleasant or Cardinal?
The weather will be soooooo much better this Saturday, too.Can Ritter pass? P Hill has a good defensive front and linebackers, I would think Ritter has the talent advantage. P Hill can score but Center put up 53 on the P Hill defense. I didn't see that game so I don't know how they did it. Anyway, I do think Ritter is a solid favorite.
I normally concentrate, in MO, on C4-6 so need to do some homework. Will get back to ya tomorrow on this Ritter question..............Can Ritter pass? Hillsboro played both Ritter and St. Mary's tough. I am sourcing the former game for some insight but you already answered a lot of it! Why I love this site especially this time of year learn a LOT.Ritter can pass when they play the better QB, the soph from East St. Louis #2. For some reason they feel obligated to play the other QB, and he's not nearly the same player as #2. #3 going to Michigan, #8 is a very good player (also from East St. Louis), #1 going to Ole Miss but a threat out of the backfield, they can throw it just fine. Their defense is legit, DL is very strong, use hands and separate extremely well. #1 is a great FS that can play both run and pass. #13 is a dynamite LB with lots of Power-5 offers. Couple other East St. Louis kids on their D as well. They are night and day better than last year. A year of growth and 4 impact transfers will do that for a team.
Pleasant Hill is a solid group, but not particularly quick. That is what hurt them against Center, in my (unsolicited and decidedly humble) opinion.Ritter can pass when they play the better QB, the soph from East St. Louis #2. Your two cents parallels what I've seen and expect in this one. Why I conceded C3 the other day AGAIN so hoping to be wrong.Pleasant Hill is a solid group, but not particularly quick. That is what hurt them against Center, in my (unsolicited and decidedly humble) opinion.
This game will give fodder to those that believe publics and privates should be split. I don't agree with that mindset personally--but I do think that a kid should have to live in MO to compete for MO high school championships. Just my two cents.
One year during a playoff game I got to sit next to Bob Shore in the stands and listen to him talk about the game. Loved every minute of it found it very educational.Ex and current HSFB HCs, players and coordinators. Yeah I listen to them.
