The goal for each school, at the beginning of each season, should be to win a state championship. But, some schools have never been in a football state championship game, basketball final four, or a baseball final four.
I know that the town from which I live now, Lamar, has never been in any of these boys sports. They have been one game away in football, one game away a couple times in basketball and been in the quarterfinals in baseball.
Playing in a game of this magnitude is something every athlete should be fortunate enough to experience. Unfortunately, it just doesn't happen for everyone.
