I actually left this one at half 21-0 Warriors. Very impressed with them all around. Could be that "one" special team I was talking about earlier this week.

Running the ball and stopping the run travels well this time of year and Smithville is excellent at BOTH so that Week 9 tilt in KTown is looking like a DANDY.

Reminded me of the 2011 game Maryville down 30-0 at the half and came back to beat Smithville 36-30. I was pulling for Smithville tonight but they didn't seem to have the fire they had in the first half in the second half.

With the talent I saw both sides of the ball this APPEARED unlike years past. I cannot cannot x 100 believe I left! And it was perfect FB weather to boot (will take a little cold over the heat any day). I need a Bud Light...............

Smithville clearly had Platte on the ropes and then gave them life. After momentum swung, their offense and defense started to stink. The fumbles and the idiotic flags didn't help. They surrendered 4 touchdown passes. Ugly ugly.

I especially did not think their D would ever give up 1 TD let alone 4!!! Wow still completely stunned by this result.................psychologically wonder what this will do to them Week 9 on.

All good posts Top. I wish we had your perspective from the entire game.

I was only able to watch Smithville's final offensive possession. I believe two of the last 4 plays were sacks. On Smithville's last offensive play (4th and 14), I believe PC only rushed three and QB was still sacked rather quickly.

Of course, I'm not sure if this was indicative of the whole game but if Smithville had a hard time with PC's rush defense---week #9 is going to be a very long night.

But---that's why they play the games. Going to be fun no matter how it shakes out. KMO v Smithville, PC v Smithville rematch coming? KMO v Excelsior? KMO v PC (Round 2)?

Fun weeks coming. Big crowds.
