Platte County 28 - Fort Osage 21 (Final)

Same predictable playcalling from Fort with runs up the middle Fort only throwing on 3rd first two drives.
PC mixing it up well and connecting on big passes for two TDs early

Fort starts to mix it up now that they are behind by 20. Score on a pass. 20-7
PC drive stalls
Peppers runs for 50+ on next drive. 20-14
Fort shuts them down again , no 1st down even
Fort fumbles at the 50. PC recovers

Fort's playcalling continues to be run it up the middle for two downs at least for a few drives regardless if you are playing a good playoff team or a last place team. It seems like they are always playing from behind against quality opponents. And they start the 3rd the same way. 3 runs and out.
PC really hasn't made any huge mistakes except penalties and giving up a 40 yd run to Peppers, but Fort's defense has really slowed down PC's big plays after those first three drives. Fort playing hurry up seemed to throw off PC's defense.

PC scores on a good passing play after getting penalized multiple times
Has been a defensive fight whole 2nd half until this. 5 min left

GV will do exactly what Fort needed to do. You can probably slow down Williams some like they did Peppers, but Caldarella and receivers will have a field day. Fort's overreliance on Peppers is easy to scheme against when you have good athletes on defense. Team looks pretty much the same next year, but with different quarterback. Talented kids, but the coaching staff has to adapt to life after Larenzo Fenner. They don't have the special teams yards/points anymore to make up for conservative playcalling.
Still think GV wins the title. The defense I'm sure has gotten better and they have the most balanced offense in the state with the probable Simone Award winner at running back.

I'm sure GV wins next week, still in on them being a contender but they are going to have to play well against webb in 2 weeks
