True, but if you've done what they've do so far this offseason, you pretty much have to go all in given the age of guys like Posey and their total lack of a farm system.

It probably made more sense for them to blow it up than to play to win, but that wasn't their mentality.

Oh, without a doubt. They backed themselves into this situation. This was the only option, given a complete tear down was not a choice.
