Pink & White Tournament

Brackets released today. Pretty weak field. Some teams seeded that wouldn’t even be close to seeded in yrs past. No teams outside of missouri.

If there had been teams outside of Missouri allowed, and they were the same caliber of teams as we’ve seen in the past, they’d probably run the table

I noticed there were no out of state teams, and was wondering if it was difficulty getting those teams scheduled? I know that the Pink and White was combined with the Ladies Tournament of Champions years ago, and that was why they had out of state teams.

Maybe so. Honestly I am not too excited about either of them this year. Basketball in the area is really down.

Pretty sure the dropping of out of state teams was done by design. They are going back to the original idea of the Pink and White.. basically the girls version of the Blue and Gold. They did the combo of the Ladies Classic and pink and white for a bit, but it had run its course.....

Haven't been to the Pink & White or Blue and Gold for 3 years but will be in the area to check out both this year.

The early years of the Classic with 8-team format had some great teams/players/games.

I remember in 2011(?) Glendale, Kickapoo and Mount Vernon, a couple more locals and 2 or 3 out-of-staters, playing in the almost new O'Reilly Event Center at Drury, good stuff.

Blue Eye get seeded pretty high in the WG classic? For some reason Miller got out of it this year to play in the Pink and White. I wish they would of stayed in the WG tournament.
