Good points made by Rand Paul - I was wondering the same thing - once I get vaccinated and immune, why should I wear a mask (and maintain social distancing, no large gatherings)?? Fauci countered with the fear of variants already appearing in NY and Cal.

I think one thing many people miss about whatever Fauci says - he's a medical doctor and will tend to error on the side of caution. We don't know enough about the variants and how well the vaccine will work on mutant strains, so far we believe there is good promise. Fauci's point is it is possible for a variant to be resistant to the current vaccine. No one knows for sure but Fauci as a doctor is being cautious.

I hate em. I find them claustrophobic and my breath constantly fogs up my glasses. I’m already annoyed about all my other pet peeves.

I wear one as needed, though, not because I’m really concerned about covid myself, but if it makes others more comfortable and feel safe, so be it.

Yes they are very uncomfortable in the heat... I am like you I wear one when needed, but really it makes me feel better when I wear one if I go into a place that I cannot keep what I feel is a safe distance.

And honestly they along with social distancing must be doing something....because the common cold and the flu numbers are way down this year, I mean way down.

You really can't enforce wearing a Mask....you can simply not wear one and claim you have a medical reason for not doing so. They business etc. cannot ask for proof as that is a Hipaa violation you do not have to disclose your medical reason. Sure a lot of Ordinances have been passed about mask wearing but at the end of the day they have minimal teeth in most area's.

I'm stopping the Mask wearing except at work which is mandatory. I'm going to start by having it on but not over my mouth and then graduate to not having it.... If people feel uncomfortable then that's on them and developing coping skills should be on their to do list.

At the end of the day Mask need to go away and People have to realize that C19 is here to stay and a everyday Risk in life going forward.

Call me skeptical but if we are all taking a experimental vaccine that isn't going to return things to Semi-Normal, no mask's and such....then why the heck are we taking this? I mean it's experimental in nature, Not FDA approved they have emergency use approval only and the company's for the most part are immune from Liability. I had my second shot in late Jan. So yeah I did my duty. But really it's a bit weird that for a Non-extinction level event for the Elite Medical professionals to be so controlling.

I mean clinical trials say they are 90-95% effective...the flu Vax's is 40-60% effective. Seems weird all the Masking and Distancing are still being touted up. I get that you can still get infected and your body beat it and you there is a small chance you can spread it but let's be real that is a small small chance,even smaller with all the people getting vax'd.

It has been interesting information coming out. My wife was all worried about everybody getting the flu shot this year because she kept hearing that the flu was going to be worse especially if you got covid. I rolled the dice and didn't get mine and I told her my reasoning was the social distancing and mask wearing for covid, I just felt that if they thought it would help stop covid then it would help with other things such as the flu and common cold. So far the numbers and studies show cases are way down, it could be attributed to other things such as less people going to the doctor...but time will tell and more studies on it. Knock on wood this has been the healthiest I have been all year, haven't even had a sinus infection which I find strange I normally always have several.

Here is some very clear language on Hipaa for you, a city cannot ask you for your medical information but may fine or prosecute you for not wearing a mask. You can argue you have a health condition which you would then need to provide documentation to the court where you are being prosecuted or you can claim discrimination and sue the city for unjust treatment where the burden of proof is on you. Which once again you would need to prove you have a medical condition that would make it exempt...

I'm well versed in Hipaa I test on it yearly....but most Doctors will provide you with a reason not to to wear a mask if asked . HBP, Being Diabetic, Obese, and a whole host of other aliments that a Doctor Deems could be dangerous to people who wear a mask can give you a free pass. It's done Frequently most Family Practitioners are not going to deny a person a reason not to wear a mask if asked. I know.

Most Cities outside of a few crazy leftist zones are not going to prosecute a person if they are not masking on the outside chance a Doctor shows up and makes them look bad by testifying the reason is legit if they have giving them a free pass. And Most Business are not going to go all in either you see people all the time not masking or faking it with mask around neck. Business want money.

I mean the Greene County Sheriff dept. is on record stating they won't respond to masking calls....and the Springfield PD while not publicly stating such is following suit. The masking ordinances are like a lot of ordinances....if the boots on the Ground guys ignore them they are just not enforceable.

I wear a mask...but not for much longer because it's pointless, I've been vax'd and eventually getting back to normal is a must. But with that said I fully support anyone who wants to continue to wear a mask and anyone who does not for what ever reason.

Because even the CDC says that Mask won't prevent infection from the C19 if you are around someone who is positive for 15 min. or more. And let's not get started about the Variables of Proper Masking. And don't misrepresent what I'm saying. I'm not saying Mask don't help or reduce rates, but let's be honest the science is not in that they are the leading factor either. The Reduction in other illness are as massively impacted more by all the Social distancing , Closing of business and increased hand washing as well as Mask.

today they call it keyboarding, kids will never know the pain of having to take a typing test and pound the keyboards hard enough....they are spoiled by how easy todays keyboards work.

You just know when you issue that person any new software or device your next month is going to ruined from having to deal with them....
