75 yard TD pass by Central called back.

Central QB scrambles for a big 1st down on 3rd and 17.

Central leads 23-21 at the end of 3rd.

Valle did beat Central earlier in the season but Park Hills really dug deep when it mattered. Being a mineral area and St. Francios County resident proud of the Rebels. Proud of Valle too. They're schools that represent the area well.

You see the word Bahahahahaha
That signifies that it’s a joke dumb azz.
I’m very familiar with both teams. Great programs. Congrats to PHC.
As am I. I went to Ste Gen and played against Judd. Love class acts that get on here and resort to name calling. Now I know why I left this board many years agao when I was coaching.

Name calling like uneducated dipsticks?

Sounds like a couple of long pass plays getting called back were almost the difference.

Park Hills wins 30-21. Great game. The blocked FG returned for a TD by Jobe Bryant was the difference.
I couldn't believe my eyes when they lined up to try a field goal. I never saw them try any field goals in the games I saw. Number 11 got credit for an 85 yard return so it had to be like a 35 yard attempt?

Park Hills has been really good for a dozen years now. If they didn’t run into a Zeke Elliot or a St Mary’s almost every stinking year, who knows what they would have accomplished. This year it’s Ritter.

The only year they lost to Burroughs in which Zeke played was 2012. Burroughs went on to lose to Maryville in the title game. The only year they lost to St. Mary's was 2021. St. Mary's went on to win the state title.
The only other eventual state champion that they lost to was Burroughs in 2015. Every other team they've lost to going back to 2010 eventually got knocked out by someone else.
PHC is one of many teams in various classes that are good for their area. You can double check my research, but it appears that in the dozen years you mention, they have lost in the district semis 4x, the district championship 1x, and the Quarterfinals 7x. No semifinal or finals appearances. They could almost be called a regional power. But rarely a serious state title contender.

I’m not going to waste my day on this but Burroughs ended their season 3 or 4 times from 2012-2015. Unless the Mshsaa website is incorrect. Pretty sure they played Zeke twice. Could have just been once. of course he was a national recruit who lived in Illinois. Then it was Miller career academy, Lutheran South, and later St Mary’s that I remember. There may have been more.

They have had some very nice teams but haven’t quite reached the promised land. As I inferred, it would have been nice to see what they could have done without having to play private schools. You and I will never know.

Here, I wasted part of my day so you don't have to. Yes, they have gotten beat by some private schools- in the years that they weren't getting beat by public schools. The MSHSAA site is not wrong- Ezekiel Elliott's senior season at Burroughs was 2012, the only year PHC played him.

2010 Lost to Dexter in District Semis
2011 Lost to Ste. Genevieve in District Semis
2012 Lost to Burroughs in State Qtrs (Maryville beat Burroughs)
2013 Lost to Burroughs in State Qtrs (Burroughs lost to Seneca in semi, who lost to Maryville in title game)
2014 Lost to Burroughs in State Qtrs, (who beat Seneca by 1 in semi, then lost to Oak Grove 49-27 in title game)
**2015 Lost to Burroughs in State Qtrs (who beat Odessa in title game)
2016 Lost to Miller Career Academy in State Qtrs.
2017 Lost to Lutheran South in State Qtrs (who lost to Mt. Vernon, who got lost to Maryville 47-9 in title game)
**2018 Lost to Kennett in District Finals (Trinity Catholic eventual state champion)
2019 Lost to Ste. Genevieve in District Semis
2020 Lost to Cardinal Ritter in District Semis (who lost to Blair Oaks in State semi)
**2021 Lost to St. Mary's in State Qtrs (St. Mary's won state title)

**Private school state champion in 2015, 2018, 2021
Bold type- Park Hills Central lost to eventual state champion
So, like usual, the "who knows what might have happened," (if the evil cheating private schools hadn't beaten us) excuse, doesn't hold up. Other public schools were eventually beating the private schools in all the other years. And PHC lost to the eventual state champ in only 2 years. So, "who knows what might have happened," but...probably not much.

Yes but using your logic comparing results on paper I saw a list of score comparisons over the weekend that showed an NAIA school could beat Bama. So carry on acting like the playing field is level.
