I have a Company issued iPhone and keep personal/social media apps off it and do not text beyond family stuff. Agree keep it all verbal.

That's the crap part of it. The conversations aren't pretty when consumed by the public...but sheesh, people need and should have an outlet to vent. It wasn't public (yes, I get the school issued phone making it "legally" public) conversation. If not for some pissed off parents with an axe to grind, these four guys would still have a job. That's just ugly to me. I get it's the letter of the law, but it makes me want to have those parents entire lives shown under a microscope for all to see.
These men are goobers. They are now facing some consequences for goober behavior. When I think about how these are grown men talking this way about the children they're supposed to develop, I just feel immense secondhand embarrassment. By the sounds of it and judging by their record they weren't terribly good at what they did anyway. Teams and groups are reflections of their leaders. Ultimately they'll live. They will goober on.

Being a goober doesn't necessarily make you a bad person or unemployable. I think you'd be surprised at the level of conversations that are expected to be private amongst friends. Venting is different from what someone really means and thinks. But I agree, the look is cringe worthy. I just hate to see someone's life upended over something so trivial. And I don't really disagree with a word you typed either.

Have you taken a look at the test to get certified? A good portion of teachers that have been at it for years would have trouble getting certified now.
Yeah, that's going to take a search warrant, which would mean that there be probable cause to suspect that a crime has been committed, and that there is specific evidence of that crime within the phone records. It's going to take a little more than "mommy and daddy got mad at the coach so demanded to see his phone records."
I get it...I'm just not sure. A lot of people vent but don't really mean and believe it. I can't speak to these guys specifically, don't know one of them. I tend to believe guys can just word vomit this stuff, but their actions are mostly innocent. Again, it's different if this weren't amongst three or four close friends and staff. Then again, if my child were one of the subjects I wouldn't be terribly happy. But I've also never been one to really give two ish's what others SAY about me.

Here, here! I would like to add that it appears the Palmyra Booster Club President needs to get their act together. Roam the halls. Make sure kids are getting to class on time and not fighting. Give some high fives. Do your club president duties!
