Indians get the message and have 4 guys in double digits to dominate the bearcats. Cullen Vanleer gets 2000 point on a 2 handed dunk. Little brother Cam led all scorers w 22 points. Great team win!

This is a big week of basketball in Franklin County

Monday 2-23-15

Union--------------10-12--The Wildcats are hot, winning 8 of their last 10 games and averaging 79.3 points during these 10 games.
@ Sullivan-------12-10--The Eagles got the big win over Pacific last week but looking @ Sullivan's losses that might be the only " Talking point " of the season for the Eagles. This could be a confidence game for the winner and talk of a successful season while the loser of this game goes to class 4 district 9 on a " Low point "

Tuesday 2-24-15

Pacific 18-5--The Indians are still mad @ the Sullivan Eagles and Washington must pay. This is a must win for the Indians to build confidence for class 4 district 9.
@ Washington11-10--The Bluejays are a liitle thin on talent this year and it would take a major upset for the win.

Wednesday 2-25-15 ( Back in Washington )

Sikeston 13-8--The Sikeston Bulldogs have already invaded St. Charles County and appear to be looking for new prey and may have found it in Franklin County. The Sikeston Bulldogs are 17-1 over the past 5 season in St. Charles County. The Bulldogs are down from the past but still play an entertaining brand of basketball.
@ Washington 11-10 ( Most likely will be 11-11 after the Pacific game ) The Bluejays must play a great game to offset the talent of the Sikeston Bluejays but anything is possible when someone drives 150 miles to play a high school basketball game.

High scoring game @ Sullivan tonight

Union----------97 ( 10-13 )
@Sullivan---99 ( 13-10 )

This is the highest scoring game in Franklin County this year. When was the last time two teams scored 196 points in a game?
The Sullivan Eagles are in the same bracket as the Borgia Knights in class 4 district 9 @ Sullivan next week. Union is in the Pacific bracket.

metro, both teams just seemed to try to trap outcourt a lot

not much backside defense. A lot of moves and passes to the hole with not much resistance. Just get the ball back to try to score again. No post up attempts that I can remember. Man, things have changed as far as basketball priorities with some of the teams I've seen lately. Might be why some teams "wallow" around the .500 mark.

Re: metro, both teams just seemed to try to trap outcourt a lot

That must have been big time Offensive Explosion and a Defensive Default @ Sullivan tonight. I knew Union was averaging 79.3 points in their last 10 games but Sullivan scoring 99 points is a bit surprising to me. I'm guessing we have 4 team dogfight in class 4 district 9. Sullivan may be getting hot @ the right time and hosting the district could be a factor. Studly, what's your take on class 4 district 9? Could we have a surprise team win this district?

metro, an updated hedge

Looks like Pacific has regrouped after the Sullivan game. I figured they would. But they're still not invincible. Haven't seen Borgia since the Sullivan Shootout. I'm pretty sure they'll be a lot better than what they showed against Poplar Bluff. I'm trying to think if I have ever seen a more unpredictable Sullivan team than this season's edition. I know them pretty well and could formulate a competitive game plan against them. I better not reveal that because I'm not too popular with their staff right now as it is. But they could be hard to handle, especially on their home court. Union is fun offensively. But as you pointed out, Sullivan put 99 up against them and Sullivan has had their share of "stinkers" offensively this season. And a determined Owensville is somewhat capable of upsetting Sullivan. I really don't know much about St Clair other than what I saw against Sullivan. And that score pretty well explains it.
After reading metro's report on Borgia, I'm going to hedge and say Pacific/Borgia is a toss-up. With Sullivan(home court) being the darkhorse.
