Heard that Ozark was open. Brewer was staying on to teach but not coaching basketball, haven't seen it posted though. Curious if that's true

She’s working hard for the job, but so is Shorter. Wants to leave CJ. Know for a fact he applied abs has started working the board. Interesting hiring possibilities, for sure. Brewer wasted a few really good classes in a row. Also heard the job was open. I think their new coach will be Coach Mullis from C of O. Her husband teaches and coaches at Ozark. Plus with C of O deciding to pulling out of NAIA the C of O program is heading downhill fast.
She is not going to Ozark. Is Hannah Wilkerson leaving Miller for Ozark?
She resigned and is no longer employed by Miller. Then why is Miller open
Agreed, Brewer did really well over the years. The growth of this years team is pretty indicative of the quality of coach he is...I don't get that impression of politics and parents. It's a good place with a ton of good people. You're going to have detractors anywhere you go, but the majority of people there are supportive and willing to work. There are many coaches more qualified and experienced that Ozark is looking at. Brewer didnt "waste" anything. He did as well there as anyone could. The politics in Ozark is as bad as anywhere in SW Mo. Plenty of parents and board members who think they can coach and judge players.
Can't wait to hear 'the rest of the story'She resigned and is no longer employed by Miller.
I don't know what happened but it seems like all of her social media has either been deleted or made private. It wasn't even a few days ago. Can't wait to hear 'the rest of the story'
I agree there are a ton of good people there, I should have been more clear. I know parents, teachers, players there. After the Little days there were some parents and players who acted in a way that should not be tolerated. Brewer came in the middle of that and had to deal with a lot. It’s not surprising, but he did a great job for the things he was dealing with. The Admin there should have stepped in and made clear to the parents (and any parents on the board) that they need to get out of the way and hold their kids accountable for their actions. Bottom line is politics is everywhere. Ozark just happens to be one of harder places to deal with it.Agreed, Brewer did really well over the years. That's been a number of years ago maybe? I don't see it being an issue now, but I don't pay that close of attention to it I guess. It's certainly not something the casual observer would have noticed this season. If you go looking for stuff like that, you'll find it anywhere. There are some places where it's outwardly noticeable and some places where it exists in quieter circles. But it's everywhere. I don't get the feeling it's a big issue currently at Ozark.I agree there are a ton of good people there, I should have been more clear. I know parents, teachers, players there. Good!, I hope the new coach has a smooth transition. That's been a number of years ago maybe? I don't see it being an issue now, but I don't pay that close of attention to it I guess. Always wait and see who gets named the replacementI don't know what happened but it seems like all of her social media has either been deleted or made private. It wasn't even a few days ago.
It's Hepler (1 "p"), but yes, you are correct Sir. Not sure what happened to the others.Doug Heppler. What happened to the other candidates discussed on this page?
