watched them play vs joplin weeks ago. athletes all over field and the coach was rotating players all night something joplin didnt do and they wore out late. not sure if its a coaching philosophy not to play younger players or the staff doesnt doesnt trust them. joplin has no choice now with all the injuries. hard to believe joplin didnt have one guy they could rotate for glades to give him a breather on occasion. i knew after watching the wc game he wouldn't last the season and now hes hobbled.
I agree with all of this. I went to that game.
I was much more impressed with Nixa's defense than their offense. Nixa needed several gadget plays and hard counts to convert 3rd downs. I don't think Webb will fall for them as much as Joplin did. But, I think Webb may have a hard time running on them. For the first 3 quarters, they pretty much shut Glades down and nobody else has been able to do that. He did break lose in the 4th, though. I don't know if Nixa's defense just got tired or if Joplin figured something out.
