In high school football in Missouri does the ball become dead immediately on a turnover (fumble recovery or interception)? Or is the defense allowed a chance to score on the turnover.

Does the possession start at the 10 yard line?
 
yes.... play is dead and unlike the National Rules, Missouri starts at the 25 instead of the 10

That was a great question and I was shocked to read the response.
 
I believe when overtime was first instituted by MSHSAA it started at the 10 yard line. Anybody know when it was moved to the 25 yard line?
