What resolve he just bungled and fast tracked the Trump plan.....not a lot of resolve needed to cut bait and run and leave a country in shambles and to get 13 marines killed, it might of been better to do it right.
And the Last military person to die before the 13 that Biden got killed was in like Feb. 2020. Not like a huge amount of fighting and dying going on in the last few years.
I mean we kept the peace and the terrorist at bay for over 20 years, two decades of sacrifice and dedication that was not in vain. That sacrifice allowed Americans who clearly are blinded and ignorant of how this policy has protected and shielded them from the horrors that would of befallen them if terrorism went unchecked abroad.

On a personal level it is not insignificant at all. I had friends die in Iraq. But on a policy level and on a safety level of the U.S. citizen it is a very acceptable death rate. What I find not acceptable is when Leaders like Biden clearly get our servicemen killed because they lack the grit and foresight to do things right. Am I surprised he Fudged this up totally? Nope that has basically been his whole career as a Politician. It's what he does.

I agree with your statement about the Afghan army. If they don't have the where with all to stand up after 20 years, then they deserve what they get.
In addition, the military advisors who assured Biden the Afghan army could hold for at least a year deserve some blame. All the military knows is give me another 50K men and I can solve anything.
Plus when tRUMP negotiated with the Taliban and left the Afghan government out he largely undercut them in addition to freeing 5k Taliban prisoners!

I want to agree with that assumption and hope to God it's right. I am a Vietnam ERA veteran and all I remember is how that war became a fiasco ending with 58k dead and countless wounded because nobody wanted to be remembered for losing a war.

I don't think our military leaders had any confidence in Afghan army nor supported the withdrawal. They were following orders. But they are in the business of war. We can't always trust the Pentagon.
