Mizzou's lineup was missing several regulars... I did not get to watch the telecast. Was Mizzou sick, hurt, or some combination of both ? Please fill me in Bruem.

Lewis missed weight - No explanation as to why Eiernman or Lavallee did not compete.
Must have been preplanned for them to sit out as back ups were brought in those spots. We had no back up for Lewis at the dual. Coach Smith ended up putting DeLoach at 165 and forfeiting 157 but originally Deloach was to be at 157. That was a strange decision but I am sure Coach Smith had a good reason The team wrestled very poorly not much energy or fire displayed. It was very difficult to watch as a diehard Tiger fan.

I read similar comments from the wrestling faithful on The Mat. Mizzou fans seemed very disturbed at what they saw. Hopefully Smith can get it all straightened out...

Good chance for the backups to get more experience with the two matches against two of the MAC cellar dwellers. I keep thinking this team still has a chance to make it to the podium in St. Louis and have a great season, but it has to get healthy. However, it is mid-January now. Time is running out.

Agreed on the MAC matchups.... Cornell will be a real test !

We need to wrestle the starters against the MAC opponents for MAC seating purposes especially Lemanowitz(da no back up exists), Erneste, Wisman, and Myers.

I would forfeit 184 in the Cornell dual. No use to get Lemanowitz hurt. Dean is going to pin him anyway.

Why has Cox been out of the lineup ?

Coach Smith said they had preplanned this weekend off for a rest. Recharge batteries and gear up for the national championship run.

In a couple of the past seasons it seems as though we peeked early. Maybe this year we peek at the NCAA tournament.
